ele vs larcenous strike
It used to steal two boons.
I think the skill is fine as is. It provides a counter to the obscene might stacking dominating the meta. S/D Thief is supposed to keep boon-based builds in check.
I get that but that is a minor addition to ls. It hits very hard like 4-5k depending on the variables. Its tandem with inf strike/evade and the spammability of those 2 skills can devastate you in melee range which is of course where you play as d/d. I guess i am mostly interested if other eles have problems with ls and how do you play against it
It’s fine, just retaliate properly.
Burning is very important and helps you alot fighting them.
your auras: don’t blow them all at once, and dont blow your control skills all at once.
they usually hit and run, so know when they strike and punish them (after the evade frames). eventually you’ll win.
Edit additional tips: fully landing drake’s breath is worth it.
Burning speed against a (wall/ledge/uneven ground) whilst the thief lunges striking your newly acquired evade frames and hitting the thief hard when he comes out of his lunge could cost him the fight imediatly, be creative a strong micro play is very effective rocks, walls ledges you name it, what cannot hit you will never kill you… because abusing out of the box is legit.

It’s doable the evade frames like cries said. It’s the same concept with a S/P thief don’t attack them during but after the evade frames.
S/D thief fights or even S/P is about alot of dancing around forcing you to blow through important skills. The good thing is that we have 20 of them. Just don’t be mesmerized by all the flipping and jumping around.

I think that skill is ok and imho thieves aren’t our major problem in PvP
The skill itself is completely fine. It can give eles a hard time but in general I’ve rarely had problems with thieves.
Balanced how it is.
It was already possible (but very hard) for ele to defeat SD thief when it was still stealing 2boons.
…
It does the job well :-)
