hi. ive been wondering if its possible to win a mesmer as an elementalist. Same skill ofc. if its possible can some one explain me how? with what build?.
I won many mesmer in 1v1, good ones from pro teams… i think they are good in tf but sux hard in duel situations.

Haha, wow. That’s a dreadful example of a remotely well played Mesmers and provides nothing for the OP.

As for Mesmers themselves, they are definitely one of the toughest matchups for an Elementalist.

Yes, i know its hard. but right spected and played we can do it.

Oh i hate spvp or tpvp so i have no idea about those, sorries For me it is all about wvw and this d/d build would be too slow to kill i guess:D

To answer your question, yes, it is possible to kill a Mesmer 1v1, but it will most likely be your hardest fight as an Elementalist. Since most of them play shatter spec, they can be quite squishy, so D/D is fast enough to kill them.

The key to winning against a Memser is learning to avoid their Shatters, as it rips Boons, which are very important to the Ele. Also, try to avoid getting immobilized and Blurred Frenzied.

The biggest tip I can give you is to play one. You’ll figure out it’s strengths and weaknesses.

mesmer vs ele is a hard fight. I played some 1on1 vs a high dps Mesmer in the Open WvW.
The key for the Mesmer to win will be the Elite + Stun. When you get the Bird and cant do anything your mostly dead.

Also without that its hard to catch the Memser and stand or avoid the damage.

If they are full on shatter specced, it shouldn’t be too tough as you will hit them very hard. The harder ones run more defense and can take a beating as well as you can. These duels can last quite a while if the guy knows what he’s doing.

Bring stun breaks, preferably 3. You’ll end up needing them to avoid his burst combo.

ahh just quikly, i clicked on your link reading the title, and would just like to quikly add something ive noticed fighting mesmers…. ( has nothing to do with the conversation that may be going on here, just post and run on the topic title:) )

and that is the illusions, the mesmer creates in an attempt to get away from my blades, the elementalist with enough power can smash apart in 1 or 2 hits… thus, just walking in the direction of the player trying to cast illusions and run, u can practically walk through thier illusions, killing them and and keeping on the players tail, as the elementalist has powerfull area damage, and can step forward quickly with different attks in the dagga specs, catching them easily aswell as dealing enough damage too practically ignore the illusions on the way there haha luvit

Just outlast him. Elementalists are extremely strong in long battles. Glass cannon mesmers are not.
I use Armor of Earth, Lightning Flash and Cleansing Fire. They all grant me boons including regen. The stun is easily removed and I heal decently all the time. The trick is to get them to fight you in a place with corners. When he uses Moa on you, just LoS him until it runs out.

once this guy i kept running into in wvw stopped ignoring my phantasm, and just killing it in half a second, i started dying to him frequently… i find that is true in most wvw. ignore the pink ghost, and u die; kill the pink ghost, and i die.
