I’ve just been running around in the jungle with this build and wanted to see what you guys thought. I tried air/earth/tempest and enjoyed it. but stacking might and keeping it at 25 seemed to be an issue for me.

Between the fire GM trait, fire auras granting might, and 3 blast finishers (earth 4 water 3 shout) and a battle sigil i have good success keeping myself at 20-25 might while having to pay alot less attention to it. It reminds me alot of the vanilla DD cele build that used to run around with some trait swaps in fire and tempest for arcane.

Edit: Build also brings decent condi clear to the table through auras similar to the way cantrips do.

Thoughts?

I like having an extra stun break in case an overload isn’t ready
but I’ve been running somewhat similar builds

Not a bad idea, but theres no point since with fire/water you don’t have near permanent protection like you can with earth or arcane and water, so I would advise against it. Spamming protection is the main strength of tempest.

agree the extra protection does make tempest resist alot of damage, but you could for instance drop a shout for Armor of earth for extra protection on demand. I suppose you could drop hoelbrak runes pick up trooper/soldier runes and run earth/fire/tempest to bring up your protection uptime as well as diamond skin/stone heart access. but dropping fire (for me) seems to negate alot of offensive might stacking opportunities the tempest has.

It’s probably work if fire wasn’t nerfed so harshly. Without might in cantrips I don’t think there’s any justification, and not taking water gimps your ability to support people through either aurashare or cleansing water.

But those are just my thoughts on it. Run whatever build makes you happy.
