help me understand this build (Staff/Cond)
That amulet and rune setup would be very glassy.
I tried to put the build together:

HP matches what’s displayed in the video, runes I’m not so sure about, they don’t appear to be anything that gives VIT or Con Dmg…
I tried playing it the way above, but it didn’t turn out to my liking.
I made some modifications however and I’m really liking it:

i’m almost positive that he’s running Rabid amuletwith a carrion gem in it, it gives the exact health he has, it also gives a lot of condi damage his sigil is almost definitely corruption since he’s got stacks., the runes though i have no idea.
Best bet would probably be nightmare runes.

Based on his other video, with the ‘fleeing for no reason-Thief’ I’d say that’s a good bet.

Based on the ticks of his heals I really think he’s running settlers.
So anyone figured out how he’s tanking hundred blades?

Well he has 30 in earth, if I don’t recall he was in earth Attunement and he’s without a doubt using an amulet with toughness, so he’s probably has more armor than that warrior does, not to mention I didn’t see him eat a 100blades at all , I did see him get hit by the 1h sword burst skill flurry though, which wouldn’t do kitten against high armor since it’s more of a condi applier than a direct damage burst.

That really wasn’t very fast killing (Necro and Engi can def do faster) and requires landing eruption, which is nearly impossible off point.
Geomancer’s alicrity is probably the most important thing for condi staff though, since eruption is the only worthwhile condition applying skill.
Also, most of the enemies were noob as hell. They willingly chased her around into eruptions for no reason, and that lol auto attack ranger was just bad, tanking an eruption, fire sigil, and basically everything else while doing nothing but 111111.

What is there to understand? A player invests heavily into the tanking/condition tree, and, behold, they are tanking and applying conditions. It is decent, but many players are capable of removing the burn/bleed well enough (if the bleed even hits). Furthermore, the video was edited, only showing short clips on each map and mostly fighting against less than competent opponents. This type of build is fine, but don’t get too excited.

I guess I’m so used to getting one-shot as an Ele that it is bizarre to me not to have someone die a Warrior melee.
BTW I have done Condimentalist before. It… sucks to be honest. The bleed is quite strong and is semi-useful in team PVE settings (like dungeons) but DPS is more effecetive. Major issue is that Eruption takes forever and is a pain to get to hit; its easier when you have guardians and warriors tanking for you. Otherwise you cast it on your foot and wait for the enemy to stop in front of you to attack you. It’s a hard, hard life.
Eruption though does big, big damage. I think it may be the single most damaging condition skill in the game. If only it were easier to hit things with it.

I personally prefer D/D for more condi focused builds, a lot easier to ramp up the bleeds and since you tend to have high toughness as a condi build being in Melee is hardly a big deal.
For staff though you really gotta CC em to get eruptions off, Tip: spam your one and eruption and make them burn their dodges , that weakness will be the death of them.

I also tried S/D for Condimentalist, it was also easier in a sense, but your focus moves to burn over bleed as Scepter has some nice burn appliers. That sort of works since Burn does comparable damage to mid-sized bleed stacks (I think 1 burn stack does similar damage to about 15 bleed stacks), and you can apply it over and over with Fire 1. Bleed from Earth is decent but I find it doesn’t compare to Staff’s bleed.
D/D I find to be inferior for condition builds. S/D is better IMO.
