You should aim for the following stats, I take in consideration my current build as roamer lightning rod:
Power= 2k+
Toughness=1.8k+
Vitality=15k+
Crit dmg= 185%+
Crit chance= 30%+
Healing Power= 420+
I’m power based so don’t really bother that much about condi dmg, with this said it’s still added pressure, so a little doesn’t hurt.
Use a mix of knight/Valkrye/sentinel for the armor; for the trinkets : captain-cavalier-celestial(rings and earrings are easy to come by)-zerker. As weapons go cavalier main and rest depends on you ( a vitality weapon maybe)
Soldier + Rune of the Pack and Signet of Intelligence is a good option

There is some math on reddit that points to the break even vs old condi damage vs new. So pretty much burn you don’t need to much condi damage to still make it good because of intensity so we are good there.
You could probably mix some valk/cav/zerk/soldier if you wanted to forgo condi and healing power. Messing around with different combinations I found celestial gave me numbers I wanted with a little knights/zerk

For starters I have full ascended armor with 6x toughness infusion, followed by celestial chest, legs and backpack . Get at least a vitality based piece ( shaman or sentinel); then I have 2x captain trinkets and cavalier amulet. The runes depends on you really, I’m fine with hoelbrak

Agreed about Fury! Is why im using Zephyr’s boon and Pack Runes. I am personally more interested in the movement speed + Aura Duration of Radiance Runes tho. I Do like Air line but i really want to try a Fire/Earth/Water Set Up. But without some access to movement speed it really just doesnt cut it in WvW setting. Need Dat Speed!

You can actually make your stats quite crazy now despite the removal of stats from trait lines. I don’t wvw much, but went yesterday and ended up with:
2.3K power
2.35K armour
16K hp
40% crit chance
193% crit damage
300 healing power
200 condition damage
If you count guard stacks in, you can get some really nice stats, it’s not difficult at all. But bear in mind, everyone can get such stats.

I’ve gotten so used to the might duration runes, i’m feeling uncomfortable dropping them in any build. I tried other boon duration runes, and so far water runes work for me in getting more uses out of the fury on swap, even if it is barely a second longer. Does might stacking in pack runes work well? The passive 10% boon duration on arcana feels so small compared to what we had before.
I don’t know about Radiance Runes. Going super offensive or defensive you have to sacrifice something somewhere, but you can make that up in combat with boons in some areas besides crit damage. I’d mess around with the fire aura trait to see if you notice a significant change to warrant dropping anything, but power/might runes.
Other classes are putting out more damage now so I personally wouldn’t advise losing to much damage and remember power/might=damage. We can sacrifice some of it because we get pretty easy access to might, but I wouldn’t drop to much power.
The only Rune choices I would consider for wvw/roaming would be hoelbrak/strength/eagle/scholar/pack I’d give air a try for some swiftness increase and another guaranteed lightning strike that can crit, but that would be more just for some fun trolling.

I was using water rune pre-patch and swapped to might ones (hoelbrak OP when having earthmancer (example: ranger’s elite can’t overlap root … you can just walk out XD )).
The huge reduction to attunements cd make duration for prot, fury and regen weaker (you’re not 100% uptime, but not so far (if specced earth, prot on aura bring you very very close to 100%))
PS: i’m missing the bonus cleanse a bit right now, but condi will be nerfed so i really do not regret this change in my rune.
