jan 26 scepter patch Scepter disappointment
Scepter is fine, what it needs more than anything is nerfs cause of all the insane blinds, and instant dps. When scepter gets nerfed then we’ll talk about buffing it. L2p

Nice trolling.
Besides, I dont mind some nerfs to less instants play in exchange for the mentioned minimal needed buffs.

Serious or troll? I can’t figure this one out myself.

That’s where I would disagree, instant scepter play is the most fun thing about it. It needs quality of life buffs, so it can be viable outside of instant cast playstyle, we have to burn quite a lot of our cooldowns just to perform these, thieves for instance can burst much easier. They have to get in melee tho, that is the only tradeoff.
AH good, I was beginning to think I’d imagined they were going to change sceptre, but all seems virtually unchanged to me
Scepter disappointment? I never had any scepter expectations.
Nerfentalist of Augury Rock

The Audio of Shatterstone doesn’t match the animation anymore. It makes my OCD unhappy. XD

It’s little details like this that show how much they truly care about eles.

… You need to remember what class had the most ‘buffs’ for the longest time.

Most certainly not eles.

Eles have never had any core problems fixed. The only meaningful change they have ever introduced was fresh air. Since then, every “buff” ele has gotten were just band-aids to shut up all the QQ about being trash (see: celestial amulet).
The scepter is super weak compared to dagger ; scepter should be weaker than dagger but slightly stronger than staff auto due to range differences.
The problem is compounded by having to spec into condi (or Power Overwhelming which isn’t as good as Pyromancer’s Training) to make use of the auto attack on fire. It is also single target!
Arc lightning is also trash, it does terrible damage due to the channel.
If they wanted to buff scepter at the bare minimum they could start with 130 radius + 3 target on all auto attacks , lower the delay on Dragon’s tooth; give arc lightning vulnerability or some other condi.
In your backline: Elementalist+Mesmer+Necromancer

Not just Ele but the game quality in general.
It literally means they have no QA testing done at all because something like this is so easily noticeable. It’s embarrassing.
They rather ship everything unfinished and have us do all the testing for them on live instead of double checking their own work themselves.
