just got game..was told on face bppk to ask official elementalist forum for advice…so im asking…..waht do i do ?|

DO NOT play the elementalist, if you plan on playing anything other than PvE. Even PvE it is better to be a warrior, Arenanet loves that class and it makes anything in this game easier.

PvE the holy grail is warrior, guardian and mesmer. PvP it is warrior, guard, necro, engineer, thief, ranger, mesmer (lower due to condition meta) and then in the EZ to kill, lower dps, free kill, low hp, crappy builds, anything bad you can think of failementalist.

I hope I saved you the trouble and even after all my suggestion you still want to play that class, just know that one day if we ever get buff we might just be average, considering the amount of work we have to put in to be average. a great ele is simply just an average player due to how bad the class currently is.

If you are new to the game, play it, enjoy it, try all game modes and find the one you like most.
If you like the ele, try some builds, practice a lot, try different builds and find the way you like to play it

That’s not fair for the ele… I play the ele in WvW and do pretty well
You just need a lot of practice :P

First off you play the game more than 10 minutes, then start asking questions.

The Elementalist is difficult to play, and most people suck at it. That’s being too nice though. Let’s say they might as well throw their Elementalists off of the nearest cliff, because that’s more useful than what they were doing before. Blocking people’s fields of vision.

People in this mmorpg whine like nobody’s business because they suck and can’t learn to play their class correctly. I play an Elementalist in PvE and PvP, and I can safely say that I can destroy any class 1vs1 with the build I am using. Even if I use a staff.

If you don’t already have one, get into a guild and ask them for certain Elementalist builds that you can use. I’m sorry, I actually don’t feel safe posting my builds that I make on the forums anymore because every time I do, they somehow get nerfed, and I really don’t want that to happen with the build I’m using currently.
