Elementalist isn’t really “stand your ground” afk-defence class like guardian or engi, that bonuses will never be taken as trait (except maybe somewhere in low fire). For staff ele that is twice as true.
However this would increase our effectiveness in Ascalonian Catacombs by about of 5,89%! Hooray!

I would think it would be more on the lines of if the ele blast a type of filed a lot like how ele can go 30 into fire to get when ele blast a fire field they give fury. So the water would be reg ice would be protection and lighting would be retaliation or something on though lines. It would make ele able to support there team with boons and added effect from a ranges or closer up to let the ele too get boons and effect. (I would not mind seeing an earth filed in here too)

This is already in the game. Any traits that buff auras will buff blast finishers in ice fields as well (because it causes an aura). Just get the trait the grants protection on auras an you’re set.
