I have been playing elementalist since more than 2 years. In pvp i played usually d/d or s/f freshair . I gave a try to staff with celestial build ( i use the one i found in metabattle with only a change ) .
I found it quite strong and viable . Is it understated ?
In many cases it seems to me more viable than freshair based builds for the reason that you last much more on a fight and you can have 2 roles : holding a point 1 vs 1 and giving support and damage in teamfights .
the only think they should change in staff, for me , is to add another blast finisher …

could you post a build? I have some in my mind, but I would like to see what is viable according to you, just to compare and maybe combine them I would like to try a staff in PvP too

and according to changes, I would like to see air 2, 3 and earth 5 buffs… 3 and 5 could use some better ability to hit, they miss too often making them useless, 2 could just have higher dmg for this long channel or just reduce the channel time, also having a blind on a skill with long channel time isn’t really worth it, blind is supposed to be used actively for specific telegraphed skills, not like this…

I tried also switching ether renewal for signet of restoration … and it is good too ( less strong but continuos healing) .

It is ridiculously tanky and perfectly viable. Even 1v1 against a thief, your parrot will carry you all the time.
