For WvW – Where are your cleanses? Is this supposed to be a zerg build or something?

well i mean this build has some variations. if we feel like we need more cleanses we could change soothing power to cleansing water… that should be enough for cleanses. personally i prefer soothing power.. cuz i move like a healing signet.. lol .. i feel like this build has might stack and alot of stun break. decent damage.

I used to run full ascended celestial on my ele until a week or so ago when i switched to berserker, ran it for over a year, it’s fun and if you go for earth you can pretty much solo quite a few group event champions from the skill points in HoT, but it does kinda take a long time to down them. Pretty much playing in god mode with this in pve, for wvw though i have no ideea since i didn’t ever bother trying that with my ele.

Karl man im sorry to say this but, i dont like your way of balancing or understanding the profesion. Eles should be dynamic with so many skills you should feel able to respond to any threat in any given situation, Eles cooldowns are mostly bad, we lack combinations and “combos”, it doesnt feel like it has synergy anymore, i dont want to be op i know tempest support had to be brought down, but for the love of god casting a water overload was so kittening hard sometimes i had to run like a chicken behind walls and stuff to get LoS and cast my overloads, theres so much room of improvement for different ele builds and room to give ele an identity which it has lost. We dont have good mobility (compared to others), we dont have good damage builds, we have ok support builds (if people ignore us and let us live), we have kittenty condi builds (condi needs to spam 3+ different condi types in order to be good).

I dont ask for op ele, becuase lets be honest as fun as cele ele was (a lot of fun) it was op, tempest support heals ect was op as well. I just want to have fun and be able to outplay my enemies and stuff, not just spammfest.

Edit: Forgot to mention we have 1 of the worst ccs? mostly slow cc and clunky.

The CD nerf was to much … Ele needs fire/arcane buffs. No clerics and group healing nerfs are ok, because they added the holy trinity and if you do that it becomes mandatory.

Anyone getting absolutely wrecked by Warriors? I know that their condi output is insane but it seems nearly uncounterable right now.

Yes dam hard. Had a 2-3 Minutes fight in WvW yesterday and finaly lost it. He outhealed my damage pretty easy …. Maybe he also thought dam ele is like a cat with nine lives but he chewed trough it …
Same PvP. If the warrior can actually play the class it´s so dam hard to kill it … and if you don´t manage your cleanses perfectly you are dead. The CD nerf to magnetic wave is cruel. I don´t know why they had to break the eles rotations. It´s double hard for arance eles …
In pvp i have to test it more. I am quite shure an ele with water traited for cleanses will outsustain a condi warrior.

I agree, that CD reduction trait hit DPS builds hard too, since you have to wait longer for Magnetic Wave and Obsidian Flesh to come off CD.
