utility skill glyph of storms an attack?
I’d imagine each individual hit from the storm would be counted as an attack, and not the whole storm.
Did some testing on golems:
- Each hit of the storm counts as a separate hit (and thus will eat one “proc” of arcane power). This seems to happen regardless of whether the hit actually connected with a target or not, as arcane power expired after exactly five bolts from lightning storm even though three of them missed the golem altogether.
- If a hit of the storm consumed a charge of arcane power, it will proc elemental surge. Thus, if you pop arcane power and then earth arcane storm, the first five ticks of the tornado will each cause immobilize to all targets hit.
- If a hit of the storm consumed a charge of arcane power, it will proc elemental surge. Thus, if you pop arcane power and then earth arcane storm, the first five ticks of the tornado will each cause immobilize to all targets hit.
Now this sounds … interesting.
Excuse me for a moment while I change my spec.
Odd, i never felt that arcane power procced it. Thats awesome. Maybe it was changed or i didnt pay enough attention.
Might just have to get it instead of arcane blast. Having tried Storm Glyph a few times i found it subpar for its cooldown but could be worth trying again. Doubt i’d give up arcane wave for it though, so much utility and burst especially when 30 arcane anyway.
-edit- lol its mad, 8 sec chill with ice shards and runes of ice
