[vid] greatest wvw condi ele build world
Can confirm… it’s very much OUCH.
Interesting will have to give it a try.
What do you suggest if no trailblazer?

What do you suggest if no trailblazer?
dire would be the best choices I guess.
Is like if people try things out. I do also build diffrent. But my build is F/E/T. The cleansing flame on the toolbar is one important piece. I think that i have more troubles with the condi mesmers than this water/arcane build.

probably to switch to dire and toxic focusing crystals

you use both fire and earth? i would feel so squishy if i used both.
I do. And i perform well. Maybe in high tier its hard but i feel well and a freind that plays 3 years (i half a year WvW) was surprised (i had been the noob ^^) and sayed it works well to play together.
In WvW i use mostly rabid. In PvP the new wanderer that gives condi + precision main and toughness + condi dur sec. I did the following. I started as ele and did stick to it.
So i am used playing with fewer HP. I did paly setlers in PvP and cele. while i do notice the sustain power of settlers i feel the lower pressure i do. And cele plays not so diffrent. ITs strange but i don´t kill faster with cele. Only the 5600 HP more are something to mention. But i am sure its playstyle and spec that doesn´t get max out of cele. I do not spec water and rarly swap to it.
My playstyle is positioning and moving. I use scepter for range and go close if is good. So i go in and out constantly. So i don´t realy disengage after a bust i keep firing and stay out of all the close combat traps, fields and whirling attacks as mauch as possible.
And at range you know how focus works :-).
So now we pack out our beloved buildes that are no meta and kill :-).
WvW:
Currently i switched back to traveler. Not shure if i keep it. I dislike missing the 25% speed.
PvP:
This works for me. I even stand most condi builds. Reapers tend to be hard. To much damage incoming i have togive my best or go down.
I am a bit surprised myself that i often can hold even 1:2 for a while. A 1:1 on point is well doable. It suits my playstyle.
And DS skin tempests: I cant realy kill them. I only fight if i must hold a point and i can endure but not bring him down unless he makes a mistake.
As most tempests i kill the longbowmen, thiefs are breakfast. Engis and revenants are often hard but i can win. Reapers depend. Some specs are grim and one mistake and i am done.

your build looks like its made for 1v1 whereas mine was made for the purpose of playing 1vX and to beat all builds in the game.
that is why i have healing power, water traits and arcana in mine so that i can at least sustain myself during outnumbered fights.
i even tried my build tonight in a 15v15 guild hall scrim and it was quite sick
I can’t help but notice the whole no swiftness, no lightning flash, no RtL, no fgs thing. Same as the last ‘greatest condi build’ you put up.
That sounded more cynical than I wanted it to. But I am truly curious how you deal with that. My preferred roaming builds have always gravitated extremely towards mobility. Not being able to pick your fights is excruciating imo.
my swiftness comes from my heal skill in air, overload in air – blast with water 3 and earth 4.
why would i need fgs and rtl? i don’t need to run
and the that other build you mentioned was crap lol

How difficult is it to make trailblazer??
making it is quite easy itself. the only thing is getting the ley line crystals from tangled depths. you’ve gotta do quite a bit of pve event farming to get the crystals.
250 in total for the armor recipe

how much PvE (i am allergic to PvE) is required?
Also what crafts do i need? and are there any crafting guides ?
standard 400 tailor if i remember correctly and it only took me about 2-3 days to get 250 crystals but bear in mind that I’m a lazy git lol
this is worth the farm tbh – i dont think any other condi ele build can compete

so about 72 hours of play time?
I have always preferred a celestial/dire build due to mix dps/condi setup
But it feels since HoT classes can clear burning so easily.
Why not use the new weapon swap sigil granting boon duration? Also which is better to use offhand – poison or bleeding?
You are right Dahir. My build is more towards 1:1. I first developed it with arcane for WvW roaming. But i can still give decent teamsupport and hold 1:2 at least a bit. I lose 1:2 in PvP but not too fast (they force me off point). In WvW its diffrent ther i can win 1:2. Of course i am much less bunkerish then a real cele bunker ele, but i feel i kill faster. And the blinds are some active teamsupport as well. The strange thing is i don´t miss a few k HP and more armor only settler was noticable more sustain. Somtimes i realy kill fast. (Record was a thief in about 5 seconds, he was a zerker, died 1 second after cloaking to disengage …..). I am also totaly surprised how much damage i do but its a add up, burn, bleed, torment, much cover condies, and criticals, 2-3k DPS is common. I like the mix of close and ranged combat. Dagger would force me to constant close combat wich is totaly against my tactical playstyle :-).
Yesterday i did fight over 5 minutes on a point with a basic staff ele not going down against up to 4 others. We danced around the point bombarding it. The smokescale was the most anoying thing …
I can´t wait to see the scepter changes. :-).

ok i mixed both you fellas build up for wvw fun
Ended up with DnF with earth/tempest/water
Superspeed is awesome
No need 25% running speed as you can overload swap
prickly pear/toxic stone
easy 2k to 4k dps per sec
Yes the autostunbreak + traited AE weakness/might + superspeed is great. I overload for swiftness. I think i go back to nightmare when i can make better armor pieces.
I had been cautious yes i also go over 4k sometimes. And i have toxis oil in my back but usualy use the cheper pepermint oil now.
I don´t use water. Fire is realy a nice damage add (especially burn proc, duration and 10% damage on burnign targets) and even some defence with extra aura on swap and blinds.
Nice to see others that use a condi and hybrid builds. Mine is similar to both Wolfric and Dahir as I have used pure condi and a hybrid.
Always ended up using water/arcane/tempest, just feels good and quick. I like using cantrips over shouts now, I can get in and out and the healing is a tad better. Also using cantrips for heals and condi cleans, leaves me with using the stability trait in tempest when I overload is a big plus.
I just put some healing points into my condi build. I must say this is what I was missing, wow helps a lot more that I thought, added in around 450.
And thanks guys for posting your builds, tired of seeing Elemetalist builds that are the same old fresh air damage. This really isn’t our fault though, blame Anet for putting us in that meta.
Hey want to post my build on here. For the life of me I can’t remember how…lol.

@fuzzion – dunno why you would use boon duration stuff tbh. My opinion is that it would mess up the build, losing better stats and stuff. I use both poison and bleeding (geomancy) sigils as i don’t think there are better options. The bleeds from that sigil stack onto other bleed sources and the poison helps a lot. In the past I used to use torment but that was kinda weak on it’s own without other sources from skills etc.
@ardamus – no problem bro and yeah healing power is a big win, helps us when we get ganked or are in outnumbered fights.
People think eles cant play with condi and think we are crap, but that is why i like to prove them wrong, especially the main ones like mesmer, engi and necro.
I grew bored of power builds a year and a half into the game and didn’t like losing to every class and build so I thought “why not make one that can beat them all?” that is what this build is after many trials and errors.
Makes me really happy to see other eles deciding to change and see past their power meta builds.
Do you have a video?
Also, is tempest really that great? Is it actually necessary for condi ele?

tempest has lots of burn and bleed potential and enjoys the benefit of aura heals.
Bad Elementalist
Would love to see a video
The problems I see:
- That build has 0 stability, which means that competent players wont let you overload and even non competent players may prove difficult as in WvW with tons of people spamming skills random interrupts will happen.
- Lack of combat mobility is another thing that feels strange, the leap needs a target so when you run its not that useful (ofcs you could target a npc but it needs to be there at that moment) and only burning speed feels little to me. I understand why you would not select lightning flash, but taking rebound over fiery greatsword is strange, specially knowing that rebound will only save you on 10% of the fights.
One observation about “it defeats every single build in the game”:
- Builds with enough cleanses should have not a real problem with tons of stacks as we cant apply many conditions types at the same time. That is because 1) We only have 2 damaging conditions and 2) while we have access to 8 different ones, those are locked behind attunements and/or overloads, making them not instant and rotation based.
Does that means its a bad build? Nope, I think that it should work pretty well because I don’t see that many builds with tons of cleanse. But its not the ultimate build as far as I can see.
I think we don´t claim our builds are ultimative. I know the lack of combat mobility aswell as the low stability. In WvW i always use FSG and mine is a WvW build.
Ye looks like that condi ele cheese alright.
Informative posts, if I want to make a condi ele in the near future I will definitely use the builds posted here as a reference.
If u claim it to b the best 1v1 for condi we’d like to see vids so we can tell by ur opponents skill lvl
I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore

It doesn’t have a lot of stability, I know, but it does have one coming from earth overload which I think is all I need tbh. If I wanted to I could switch out utility 2 and put in AoE and switch to Cantrip Mastery if I felt a lot of pressure, which I rarely don’t.
I never said it was the ultimate build in the game. I said I wanted to make a build that could beat them all, that was the main concept/idea behind making the build.

I claim it to be the best condi ele build, not the best 1v1 for condi and I’m in the process of making a video so pls wait.

people who use the word “cheese” make me think less of them
Use signet of restoration too
Elementalist Mesmer Ranger
Sea of Sorrows
Use signet of restoration too
can i ask what for? i see glyph as a better option. swiftness on the go, condi cleanse when using the heal skill in water attunement plus it’s a big heal.
I am a fan of arcane brilliance (especially traited), but wash the pain away is the way to go now for me. I used glyph in the past but it doesn´t fit annymore.
ok i swapped out the weapon swap boon duration sigil for boon of corruption. I find a nice spot is 1000 condi or 1.5k condi
i will try bleed on swap.
condi ele is not cheese. It is not easy to play as you must stick your condis. If you fight a condi cleanse class its a pain
you will love sigil of geomancy. along with sigil of doom nothing’s better.
Hmm i realy like my torment sigil :-). And i feel comftable with generosity which realy fits in but i am not 100% shure if i should change it to doom or even earth. Geomancy is short range and i fight with scepter. With my crit rate i will inflict more bleed with earth then geomancy. Its just more single target. For dagger main shure gemonancy is great!
lol since you’re using scepter don’t use geomancy
I did write that. Geomancy is out. I am uneas if i shall use earth or doom instead of generosity. Earth will constantly inflict more bleeds. It has a 2s CD and i have over 50% crit rate.
stay the way you are lol. generosity will help you A LOT since you don’t use the water line. i suspect you use the burning fire trait and if you use focus then earth 4, so yeah keep generosity
My build is in this thread ^^ . I don´t use burning fire i use burning precision for more ranged procs and the duration. I have cleansing flame on my toolbar and use focus.
all the more reason to keep generosity for a build like yours
Quick video based on fights I’ve had these past couple weeks. Not really the best of match-ups with servers, but it’s the best I could do.
I will keep making them in future and feedback is appreciated, thanks.

The lack of stability or mistform really shows in those 1vX fights, where would throw you around like a ragdoll as soon as you started stomping.

if you really want stability then change utility 2 to AoE and swap Cleansing Wave to Soothing Disruption.
Thanks for the video, very tempted to fork out for a new set on my ele to play around with. Currently I wvw in mostly clerics/mix gear as auramancer support which is fun, but this seems like more fun.
I also tried a bit with using arcane again instead of fire. Its a bit hard to decide what to use but fire feels still better.

No problem bro. If you do make it I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
After the DS changes you may be able to run earth over water so earth arcain tempest d/f. I also like to see (once they give out the info) how foces will changes your build and others.
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA

Hmm maybe… but my main source of condi cleanse is from the Cleansing Water trait along with Invigorating Torrents (auras), also by swapping to water which removes 2 conditions.
Did you say they’re changing focus??
