what is dazing me?
sounds like u stepped into a certain mesmer well
I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore
Hmm….I think this happened to me, only once if I remember correctly. Was two elemetalists though. In air trait there is lighting rod, but this should be a lighting strike.
I believe after the over load there is a field that perhapse gives this effect. My guess in my situation was one of them layed down a static field, staff weapon, on top of the others air overload to keep us in place. Was very effective and smart really.
Being an ele myself this is all I can think of. Maybe there is an armor rune that give this effect???
i’m pretty sure there was no mesmer around
it was 1v1 against ele, he overloaded air and i tried to heal
couldn’t get it off
he was d/f, no staff
Interesting, I haven’t noticed when I overload air it actually dazing or stunning them. Shocking aura is only when you hit them you get the stun so I am not really sure.
A weapon sigil or armor rune, but I would think if it’s one of these it would do it once maybe twice because of cool down.
Maybe a bug or it has a chance to proc but not showing in tool tip?
I like the concept though being an ele myself hahahah.
It’s shocking aura that gets put on the ele after finishing the air overload

If it was against an ele, maybe an earth shield would daze you.
Read the tooltip. Overloading air gives a lightning shock that stuns on next attack. Afaik this happens twice on a full overload.
Coupled with shocking aura on demand and after overload, rebound in air, and air 5.. yeah, you’ll probably feel you’re getting stunned multiple times.

You have a rune/trait that does something on heal, which happens to be coded in a way that activates Shocking Aura, which interrupts your heal. For example, Ele water swap has no damage but actually activate on hit (clear aegis).

Ele water swap has no damage but actually activate on hit (clear aegis).
Small note, they fixed that a while back.
The problem is that there exists no tooltip for the fields that the overloads leave behind if they are successful. The tooltips only describe what happens while overloading. My guess is that the field that air overload leaves behind somehow dazes.
I asked this question before too, I think its either the static charge you/allies get or The Lightning strikes after the lightning field procs (when the overload finishes)
But here is the weird part.. Try traiting Lightning Rod and see if it happens again, if it does it should insta kill your target for the overload duration.
Never happened to me with Lightning Rod.
I tried Lightning rod with Air overload and doesn’t seem to affect damage during the thunderstorm, only on lightning field.
The certain way to cause a daze with an air overload is to execute a leap finisher on the lightning field for a Dazing Strike!
