water 5 trait “soothing mist” regenerates less health than a normal regenerate does.
whats the deal? expected?
you can see it in this video.

mist heals for 99 whereas regenerate heals for 177
should be 300 in water.

Yes that would be pretty OP if it was a standard regenerate considering it is there continuously 24/7 as you stay in water, not only that but it also stacks with other regens as well, and is AOE, ele has a lot of healing support options, if this we’re a regular regen it would be ridiculous to bring us down, and if you get in trouble just stay in water for a FULL strength regen as well as the healing skills, and stacking that with +healing power gear.

do you have a dev source for your opinion?
do you know what it does base its healing off of?

wiki has the calculation
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Soothing_Mist
The effect lasts 9 seconds and is renewed every 2 seconds while attuned.
The effect will also apply itself to nearby allies.
If the attunement is changed, the effect will renew once before lasting the duration.
Amount regenerated = Level + 0.05 * Healing Power
normal regen is
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Regenerate
Regeneration grants health determined by the following formula:
5 + (1.562 * Level) + (0.125 * Healing Power) per second
Because having perma regen while in water would be over the top…
Yeah that 177 a tick permanently would be so over the top it might break the game.
Except thats wrong.

It’s roughly 200/sec with a balanced valk’s build and the effect snowballs. As mentioned, it also stacks with standard regen (which you’ll typically have high uptime on) and is AoE.
We have exceptional sustain as is.

The moment he pulled numbers from wikipedia, i left the thread
It stacks with normal regen, which is why. If you wanted perma regen that didn’t stack with normal regen that would be acceptible but I think most eles would prefer the current implementation…
