I saw some people saying it was cool to see some team fights for a change on the Engineer as apposed to the usual roaming videos.

I just started using the Elixir gun I think one day before this clip, used to having Elixir S but giving the EG a whirl and really digging it. So if anyone sees where I can improve on making use of it, feel free to give advice.

Here’s the video…we had just capped center island then this big group of [Pro] jumped up on the island, started the recording a little late. They hit us and dropped one guy off the bat.

Build, like any others. Only good for small fight max 10 vs 10.
Healing from Elixir is kinda pathetic, basiclly boosting only your regen from toolbelt. Impact heal if i remember corect is like 2,5k on 1k HP, which is to low even.
Crit rate is to low, since you are runing on rabid gear, and since you are on condi, why you dont use Sharp for 30% for bleed? Bombs have like only burning, + burning from trait, which you are providin not that much condi burst. I would like for you to switch your runes for something that will “boost” your burning dot, insted of boosting all, since you dont use any others condictions. Burning is a condiction that right now making the most DMG for us, and dont need alot of CD for hiting hard, so using Undead runes here a little bit waste of potential of burning.

I think better chose would be a Superior Rune of Forge for burning duraction, same for Superior Rune of Flame Legion, or others for 6 bonuses, or only 3 × 2 for 15% duraction.

Traits :

Since, you are in the middle of fight, and your are using healing turret, i would to change regeneraction for protection. Dont think that this 200 healing/s is helping you that much. Anyway traits seems fine anyway, i was runing in very similar for some time, before they nerfed elixir S. Also on small fights healing turrets without lags is OK, but for any other bigger fight, i would take medi kit, for more healing, and fury, since you low on crit, and you using runes for condi transfer (CD is not boosting them), and maybe insted of sigil for healing, i would take this one for bleeding, cuz your condi potenctial is runing out.

Woah. I wasn’t even looking for build advice, I’ve been slowly tweaking this over time – specifically for running with my guild. We will agree to disagree, I don’t like most of the suggestions.

For one, I am doing bleeding, confusion, poison, and burning – not just burning. Toughness is also over 1900 which works great with rune of unread. I also have food which puts me at 50% condition durations already – I can go for more, but sacrifice toughness and condi damage. Not a fan of that route.

I don’t need two protection traits, I already have one + multiple guardians usually. Again this is running with my 10-15 man guild groups. I have considered using this build roaming and having protection injection also – but I still feel the added regen would be stronger overall from backpack regenerator.

Crit rate? We don’t need a high crit rate – my condis don’t require crits to trigger.

Sigil is there bc its a 10g sigil that I’m not gonna replace every time I build swap – and I think its a strong sigil for my roaming builds. I may invest in more pistols for more sigil options. Maybe a healing one and heal stacking on kill – not sure bc I like my hybrid between strong condition damage and decent support/ heals. Over 1600 condi damage with food/stacks.

Med kit is extremely inferior to healing turret for coordinated team fighting – where is your ally support with it? Turret allows massive water field, AOE condi removal, AOE healing.

My AOE regens from tool belt for EG and heal turret tick for 226/sec and the bombs usually healing 211/sec. Together that’s 437 healing per second for my allies.

You mention the regen isn’t helping me much, I think all the videos I have say otherwise though – I have 17khp with very high armor + add in lots of passive, strong regen and that is a recipe for being super tanky (as long as your condi removal is good – which mine is). Backpack regen + regen + bombs heal = 600/second healing approximately, all the time.

I appreciate the thought behind the build advice. We just have strongly different preferences it seems.

Hmm one suggestion you made did get me thinking though.

I’m going to try out sigil of geomancy with this build instead of leeching. My sustain seems to be great – geomancy would allow me to stack AOE bleeds on people when I run in to drop bombs.

But you have Bleed only from Tool kit, so thats why i was suggesting to use Geomancy sigil or this one for bleed with 60%.

About Healing Turret – its good right now, but not when you facing bigger zergs, or if you get lag, you need to click at least 2 times, to get this 5k healing. Thats why i dont like HT on current meta. Confusion bomb have a 18sec CD, and wasnt be better to change for example 10 points from alchemy to firearm to have this 30% on crit bleed? which boosting you AA from mines.

Oh yeah, well nothing really works in the 3way stonemist/garrison fights. Its just a kittenshow. I’m not gonna spec for those occasions, they aren’t even an enjoyable part of the game.

I have been digging Sigil of Geomancy so far today though.

I was running a build like this for awhile and I loved the utility it gives. Using a shield with it gave me four blasts I could use all on one field and with the bombs and elixir gun you have access to Water, Fire, Smoke and Light. The ability to suddenly combine Big Ol Bomb with supply crate and the elixir gun 4 is quite hefty for AE buffs.

Very good fight and excellent teamwork and communication.

Yeah I really do miss that extra blast from shield sometimes, but I love the blowtorch and glue shot abilities.

Sometimes I do, blasting in a light field gives AOE retaliation.

Most of the time I use it in water fields for extra blast heals though. Depends on the fight/situation.

Sometimes I end up blasting in the light field also bc I’ll use Super Elixir for a quick drop for the heal + condition removal then quickly blast away to get distance.
