Guild Wars 2

Hi folks,
I’ve leveled two engineers up to 80 (Charr and Human), but i’m in a terrible conundrum as to which one I want to focus on for future content. I like both races in my selected gearset and could use YOUR input as to what you think is preferable in appearance for general world/pvp play. I’d like also to keep in mind that with Heart of Thorns, Hammer is an expected weapon type for Engineer as well. Any comments/input are greatly appreciated, thank you! (I also accept feedback on armor appearance/dye options as well)

I feel bad for our fellow charrs.

unquestionably charr are the superior race in every case. without exceptions. humans are just meat. furless, easy to process meat.

Both are great. But there are a few things that are actually important to know:

• You will definitly have more fitting clothes with the human engineer. Charr in general have some clipping issues, mostly the tail.
• Flamethrower 4# → 2# is easier to use on a small race, easiest for asura. The combo field is small (in height) and as a charr you have to face straigt forward or down to not miss it. I can’t talk about humans, but it’s a lot easier in the taumanova fractal as an asura.
• Charr are the true engineers in Guild Wars 2. And we are kitten so … take what you like most :P

I rolled engineer in all races up until now, and I must say… go human with it. I quite -love- Charr thematically and as heavies they look amazing. But there’s two issues with Charr engies…

• The medium armor choices are severely limited and generally don’t really look good.
• Hobosacks are -very- -very- oddly placed on Charr, and their fix will take a while.

Keep in mind that we don’t know yet if hammer engineer will really be worth playing. Kits are so vastly superior in their current state, playing builds without them is going to be self-crippling unless we get something good.
