So I recently created an Engineer and have been absolutely loving it. Engi was actually my first character around 2years ago but it didn’t click with me at the time. Now I’m kind of upset it took so long before I gave it another chance.
But my questions:
Elixir C says that it has a duration of 5seconds (6 with HGH). Does that mean that it continually removes conditions for the duration? And if so, what is the interval?
Inversion Enzyme says that it causes Elixir gun abilities that remove conditions to convert them to boons instead. Super Elixir seems to only convert one condition which makes the trait kind of useless unless you want to be supportive with Fumigate. Am I right in thinking that this trait is kind of dull or does it have other uses?
Is there any way to tell what Elixir X will transform me in to before I use the skill?
Elixir R seems like a very situational skill. Is it similar to Necromancer’s Corrosive Poison Cloud in the sense that it’s never used and doesn’t really have a use?

Inversion Enzyme: currently useless.

Elixir R can be REALLY, REALLY strong in WvW or sPvP (PvE is not so difficult currently so there is no use.) Elixir R will give you again 2 dodges and the belt utility if thrown right, can make you rally yourself:
you are low life, the foe is going to give the last attack and then finish you, you throw elixir R at your feet, you go down because of the foe, he attempts to finish you, but the elixir rallies you just before he finishes his stomp. It can also be helpful for rallying allies in WvW or PvP
Elixir C do NOT cleanse condition for the duration. The 5 sec duration it’s about the converted condition. Its about the duration of the boons you get after useing it.
Niguen covered it except for the Elixir C correction. I actually am not even sure the 5 second duration on the tooltip applies to the converted boons either because you will get boons longer than that. Maybe that’s before boon duration? I honestly think the 5 seconds might actually mean nothing.
I want to add Fumigate is very very powerful, but again I agree with Nieguen that Inversion Enzyme is a terrible trait. Especially since it is in Alchemy line it has a lot to compete with. It should do something else as well to make it worth using. Maybe make Fumigate apply to ourselves as well or something.
