AC Path 3 -More bugs for Engineers!
What’s up with that? There are ghost engineers with kits, so why can’t we keep ours? After all, our weapons skills have been deliberately nerfed because we have kits!
This looks like yet another instance of forgetting the Eng class when making changes to the game.

This is true, our weapon skills are way beyond other classes. This thing requires immediate attention.
Can anyone confirm if any dungeon with transform locks out utilities for ele and engineer, please?
Edit 1: Also, transforms seem like they can be removable, with the 0 key present. Can anyone confirm?

Sorry, I forgot to add that hitting ‘0’ did absolutely nothing, despite having a description that read out ‘end the transformation early’
Got a report that eles do not get this problem as well. It seems we are locked in this. Anyone on EU want to do a full engineer test on the setup?

Those were my thoughts exactly, this was the first time it occurred to me and it happened after the patch.
Havent been to AC3 since patch.
But if this is really happening it should be fixed asap.
I just don’t get why transforms have to be SO BUGGY T_T just let people use utilities while transformed.
I just went through this myself-twice. Luckily I had a good team, but I was stuck using my pistols and all my utility skills were locked and unable to drop transformation.
I don’t know if any Engineers have tried running AC path 3 since patch but apparently when Tzark turns your party into ghost you lose all your utilities. Fun fun fun.

Thinking about how ANet might look at this problem:
- It is working as designed
- It’s only a minor (as they may think about it) disadvantage experienced by one of the least played classes in the game
- It occurs only in one part of one path of the lowest level dungeon in the game
- It’s not in a priority area of the game (e.g. SPVP, new content, etc.)
It’s #2 that’s likely to hurt us the most, as that one is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I doubt this’ll get a hotfix – it’s not a Thief bug. Or an Elementalist change. Or an sPvP bug. It’s an Engineer bug, and they’ll ignore that it exists.
I did a run on AC path 3 yesterday and didn’t experience anything out of normal (other than the usual ‘not-being-able-to-man-the-mortar-while-transformed’).
This was in Baruch Bay [ES] server, using pistol/shield, medkit, elixir S, tool kit and grenade kit. I was able to swap utilities no problem.
I do recall however being out of any kit when I transformed, maybe being transformed while having a kit on causes the problem?

Necro’s have a bug that when they go down they only have a fraction of Downed Health. They can be killed in just a few hits. If you have the Debuff, where you spawn with even less downed health, you can bleed out before your Heal even becomes available.
Essentially an important part of the game, Downed State, is broken for Necromancers. This has been bugged for weeks now.
So, what hope do you have that ANet will fix an Engineer bug that only happens in a specific dungeon path, and its an Engineer bug…

I can confirm that this is not the case. I ran AC p3 twice the past couple days, and the first time I got nailed with it while wielding my Flamethrower. Thinking similarly to you, the second time I ran p3, yesterday, I unequipped my kit and waited to be transformed.
I still had “Locked” replace my healing skill and my utilities, with “Exit Transformation” replacing my elite (which did nothing when clicked/pressed).
FWIW: the Ranger in my group had the same thing happen to him, so this is not an Engineer-only issue.

Just wanted to correct you, thieves have been having this issue as well, it’s been over a month I believe.

You’re not alone. There’s a Ranger in our guild that gets this every time. Necros, Guardians and Warriors all seem fine.
It’s not an engineer-specific bug. It’s a path 3 bug that affects at least three classes.
Bingo! All three medium armor classes are affected by the same bug. Armor specific bug, easier to fix, and more wanted since it affects more players…

Yea this is still happening… Just ran AC p3 and lost all the 6-0 skills. Seeing as the last post was 24 days ago, why hasn’t this been fixed yet o.o

Yea just ran AC way 3 yesterday – kittening kittened really needs to be fixed.
150 dps from 130 pistol autohits + 20er bleeds instead of 2K+ bomb hits – what a terrible terrible terrible fail in design.
Confirmed, happened to me today. Was kitten ed as hell, made another thread in the game bug forums.. but this has been happening for a month and still isn’t fixed?
Glad that they rushed that reef skelk fix.
BTW not only does this seem to only impact some engineers it also impacts some rangers.
Both my engineer and ranger do the same thing. Its a MAJOR issue and crippling. Ever tried running a dungeon with NO heal skill? Yah…. suckage. Ive reported this bug about 6 times now between both the eng and ranger.
Had the same issue yesterday and about a month ago, on the same character. Skills 6-9: “unable to use while transformed”. I usually take my guardian to AC, so this wasn’t much of a problem, but it is very inconvenient never the less. I just posted this in the Bugs forum, before I saw this thread.
Glad to see the fix is on the way. Hope it’ll happen soon.
