Advice on gear stats
Well look at it this way: Rifle is more of a power/crit weapon while dual pistol is a condition set, I’d say pick the set you like best and adjust your stats to that factor.
My engineer runs a elixir gun build in Rampager.
Bookah Protector – Asura Guardian | Trapped Spirit – Asura Necromancer
condition damage scaling is horrible right now, but they did say they’re gonna look into the viability of those builds
right now though, its better to just have critical damage even if you’re going a pistol/grenade condition damage build
and note : explosive shot on pistol doesn’t count as an explosion for trait purposes
For PvE I would switch Rifled Barrels to a more useful trait (e.g. Precise Sights) as longer range usually only means that your target needs a fraction of a second longer to reach you. I would only use it for special targets like bosses when you need it to keep out of its range.
