Well I would like to thank Anet for helping me decide on my Profession choice for this game. Over the past few months I have been playing around 3 or 4 different professions and after seening these changes Engineer is where im staying.

Holly hell there strong. Yes ok we lose perma-swiftness so what. But we gain so much more.
For a statt a AOE Moa. Come on thats insane.
The Lock on trait is so strong.
The Baby Sky hammer yes please.

The changes to it seem strong and good for the profession. So if you feel the same post here for some appreciation for what anet is doing.

So much new new possibilites I see that 4 orbital strikes in row..:-)
Medkit and new share healing skills will be awesome in wvw support cant wait to test it.
Lock On is perfect too cant wait to tell it to my always whining teef friend:-)

So your annoyed that engi lost the ability to have perma swiftness and gain all that goodness.

4 oribital strikes.
The whole profession is getting better. Im sure there is away to make sure we can move quick.

Can i ask when do you use this perma swiftness.

I have got many floating in my head. This helped me get my engi dusted of and play it. Im also thinking a static discharged with these orbital strikes.

Time to play with builds.

Rich, in every aspect of the game. Every single one. Convenience is an amazing asset. And mobility is more than convenience in PvP.

Rich, in every aspect of the game. Every single one. Convenience is an amazing asset. And mobility is more than convenience in PvP.

Its still for 10s every 20s in pvp we can go 20% boon duration trait, medkit have another swiftness, you can also use toss from elixir B (it dont share cd). We can combine it with runes if it will be needed and dont mention that Mecha Legs is now in usefull line. Swiftness will be little bit harder to maintain then swaping kits but there is no challenge what engi cant handle:-)

Rich, in every aspect of the game. Every single one. Convenience is an amazing asset. And mobility is more than convenience in PvP.

Ok so when Kit Refinement randomly procs and puts you in combat and that slows you anyway so the swiftness is negligible I’ll keep that in mind.

Inventions was never useful, and after the changes I might as well play a guardian or shoutbow.

I appreciate your optimism,I really do. But I’d give up most of the changes for the convenience and play of SPeedy kits+invigorating speed. But thats me.

You realize you can’t take both of those simultaneously, right? And both of those mean you can’t take the good old “I win” button.

I’m still convinced the moa thing will be a gimmick at best. It will obviously have to be much less powerful than the mesmer moa… maybe moas them for like 2-3 seconds and that’s it. The just pop their 5 skill and get away from your attacks is what will happen. I actually thought it was just a joke, I didn’t think they’d actually make toss elixir X do that. But oh well.

Not really sure how baby skyhammer will work out, seems like it will be more useful as a blast finisher than as a damager… well, aside from PvE where the mobs will just stand in it. Although it would be really sick to knock someone back with your rifle into the AoE of the baby skyhammer just before it hits.

Yup well aware you can not take both. I am stating what I think is cool about it all.

The AOE Moa is cool its like a bad experiment gone wrong ties well with Alchemy and the Elixirs. Thats my idea anyway.

The baby sky hammer has a lot of potential and if you can get 4 of the dam things then even better.
As I said i like these changes.

We got quite some changes. One that i didn’t see mentioned in these threads was the removal of most of our recharge reduction traits, though. Only rifle, shield, bomb and tool kit traits survived the change. Gadgets can be reduced via gadgeteer, but it works in a different way.
In general, i see a major reduction of kit traits – every kit now is affected directly only by a single trait.

And flamethrower continues to be extremely weak versus retaliation. Especially since staying on it relies on the autoattack even more due of the lack of recharge traits (and the short duration of stability will require to do so, if one intends to use juggernaut for that boon).

•Mecha Legs: Your movement speed is increased by 25%. The duration of cripple, chill and immobilize on you is reduced by 33%.

The invetions in general seems good for self sustain, so I’m not wiping that much over speedy kits

Dude you are one of those who trying desperately survive on sinking ship and refuse to jump on brand new cool one next to it. You dont see new posibilites and synergies.
Med kit in PvP? Hell yes dude. With Kinetic Charge its double main heal every 20s + swiftness, fury, and multiple condi removelas. Afaik kit refinement proc only in combat (I can be wrong here).
About speed.. Kinetic Charge + Speedy kits + tool kit + slick shoes = 3x super speed in row.
