Your engineer class should come with insurance to pay my medical bills when my hand will become unusable from the constant press of 1 on the grenade kit. I feel that at this pace, my brand new Naga will die on me in probably 1 more month and I won’t be able to go to work due to my hand being sawed of after my muscles die as well.

You guys need to get your heads out of your kitten and find a solution for this problem because, it affects more than just gameplay. Listen to your players and fix this because it is becoming harmful.

Yes, another thread will surely grab their immediate attention.

My problem with ArenaNet is that they aren’t that open with changes to the professions. I haven’t seen a Dev post in the Engineer forums in weeks.

No they just prefer nerfing the class and eating cake while laughing at me when I break a mouse every month.

You say nerf, I say balance. Engineer was one of the strongest, if not THE strongest underwater fighter in the game.

I’ll leave you with something I posted in another thread:

“Just a quick question, is there any other weapon in the game that can provide a constant stream of AoE Direct damage and AoE conditional damage?

I’m thinking whether or not I want to support for an auto-cast auto-target, or if I want what Grenades currently are. If we compare it to other profession’s weapons, we can see that only Fire Elementalist Staff can provide as much AoE damage as we can constantly. Mesmer Staff can sort of do it, but with a severe limit on the number of targets, I wouldn’t put it into the mix. Necromancer is a better choice, but with it’s non-AoE auto-attack, I would be hesitant comparing it to Fire Elementalist Staff and Grenade Kit Engineer.

I bring this up, because maybe ArenaNet balanced the Grenade kit versus other ranged weapons. No other profession can bring the hurt like we can (With the range to do it safely), but the only drawback is the travel time and of course GTAOE.

It’s a just something to ponder."

TL;DR. We’re one of the strongest AoE ranged DPS there is.

Yes we are indeed, in another story this still needs a fix. I do not care how much the grenade kit does well, the bottom line is when it affects your health, this becomes another issue.

Hell at least post a message before creating an engineer saying that this class may affect/break your hardware and cause Carpal tunnel syndrome in prolonged uses.

I agree and then I don’t. Yes, pressing the same button over and over again may cause some damage, but it’s no different than other games constantly asking us to pull a trigger or press 1 for your main macro.

No game I have played had this kind of issue, not even Diablo. No game should actually demand me to make a macro to be able to auto attack a skill so that my hand doesn’t suffer from it. What the community is asking isn’t a way for this class to be OP but, simply to make it have a better harmony and enjoyment while running grenades kit. Why should a direct hit be allowed underwater and not on land, how many times did I end up throwing grenades at my feet because of terrain or awkward dodging while pressing 1.

Any ways, I may be wrong but I stand my point.

No, you definitely have a valid concern about the functionality of the Grenade Kit, as do most players.

You can’t use any ground targeted abilities underwater by the way. Even Toss Elixirs function differently underwater.

But besides that point, I’m not sure what ArenaNet is deciding with this. If they decide to change this, they’ll most likely make it similar to Ride the Lightning. Which calculates the direction the effect goes, depending on where the enemy is currently headed. As in, it will collide with the target if the targets keeps going the same way, but will miss if they suddenly decide to make an adjustment in stride.

Surely they have the resources to get one person in the profession forums to (even if its just every 3 days) make one post saying “good ideas, we’ll take them into consideration”. The lack of feedback of any kind is very disheartening when other competitive games “some of which 90% of my friends stopped playing this for” are doing an extremely good job of keeping in touch with their community… just saying, its working for more successful games….i’d like this to be a bigger success probably should look into what they’re doing ya know…take a good idea make it your own and all that…
