So the engineer is the master at inventions. But why didn’t they ever think to adding wheels to their turrets I is beside me. With a cool down of x amount of seconds you summon a mech droid warrior (similar style to aetherblade/watchknight/steam punk)that has all the skills similar to your own turret skills. They would shoot nets, flames, poison volley, static discharge, etc. it would be similar to the flesh golem for necromancers but a little more versatile. Once deployed, you could sacrifice it for a random assortment of boon of 5 boons one always being stability. At the end of the tool trait lines a grandmaster trait would give the mech droid 1/3 extra health and make it be at your side until death, reduce cool down to 80 seconds, and on death will cause a 40 chance to spawn a lesser droid for 20 seconds.
