Sometimes I really get bummed, having to take speedy kits. I know I shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, since speedy kits have been awesome, forever. But I’m looking for other ways to maintain swiftness in WvW.

A long time Engi in my guild (who mostly WvWs) swears by Centaur runes. Everything they give aside from swiftness is pretty solid as well, so by all means take them if you don’t want to be pigeon holed into a trait. You’re just pigeon holed into runes instead lol (personally I prefer the trait).

You have plenty of ways to maintain permaswiftness without runes. I assume you are just trying to run from place to place. I switch into medkit to run, combine it with elixir B/toss elixir B and pretty easy to maintain perma swiftness. Switch back to Elixir H or Turret when you reach your destination. Why waste traits if you don’t have to?

I used the centaur runes on my engy back before the buffs to healing turret. AoE swiftness can be very helpful in WvW.

The power and bleeding both work well with rampager grenade setups.
