We post when we’re able. We read pretty much ALL the threads on here, but we have time to respond to very few of them.
It’s not that we favor any profession over the other, even though that seems to be the belief for some players – it’s not true.

Anet favors signet warriors, OP, please nerf
While intended for another game (which shall not be mentioned), I am minded of a song called “Nerfing the class that I don’t play”, performed by John Bain.
If you are allergic to these ingredients, do not consume.
I hope OP realizes the devs do other things besides reply to forum posts. Sometimes I think they work too hard (from what I’ve seen). Besides, the June 25th saw the fixing of certain reported issues with engineer and slightly improved some builds.

But truthfully, no, I don’t think the devs owe anyone anything, and I don’t know why it’s so important to anyone for the devs to explain their decisions, especially when the current internet disposition is that of just waiting for the explanation to simply continue the argument.
Forum Guy: Why did you nerf Elixir R?
Dev: We wanted to bring other potions up for consideration, since this potion currently stunbreak’d, self-rez’d, endurance refill’d, and condition cured.
Forum Guy: Thanks for your response… what are you guys, idiots? Why not make our other potions even better to bring them up?
Dev: In the current state of the game, that potion did more that most utility skills of any other profession.
Forum Guy: Do you even understand how Engies are played? That potion nerf has single handedly made our profession terrible, delete please, since you obviously never play Engie.
Some of you wouldn’t do this, most would. I wouldn’t answer you, either.

Ok. Thanks for taking the time to respond to this thread, at least. Lacking response, it seemed as though we were being ignored—glad to know this isn’t the case!

I’m not an idiot, I’m aware that the devs have much better things to do than reply to forum posts. The thing is, though, communication is a two-way street—I can talk all day long on these forums, but without acknowledgement that I exist, I may as well be talking to a wall.
Now the good Game Designer has come to let me know that nearly all threads on the forum are read, but not all are responded to. This satisfies me, personally.

/Shrug, I don’t believe in trolling the developers who take the time to respond to forum posts, but I can see where you’re coming from. Perhaps I’m just spoiled in your eyes, but I’d like to see more developer/community interaction in the future.

This one is already better than most, and considering there’s no monthly fee, their support in general and communication is stellar.
Seems like a pretty awful thing to ask given the plethora of buffs we just got – especially since most of them were based on feedback produced in the engineer forum. ‘Hey, our kits have no stunbreakers’ BLAM STUNBREAKER ‘We have a lot of trash traits’ BANG TRAIT REWORK ‘Other classes do X, Y, and Z better’ BOOM, WARRIOR NERF
Exaggeration obviously, but it’s a decent summation of what happened with the recent patch.

This^ More interaction takes more money to hire people to do the work of more interaction to rub players earlobes and tell them they are more specialer. Their output is stellar.
BOOM, WARRIOR NERF.

Fixed that for you.

You guys ever going to show some love to the Mac users though? Those threads have not been updated since last October.

????
Wow….grats…
Do you guys actually need developer responses on every thread? Is it keeping you up in the middle of the night, pacing restlessly beside your bed or something? Is the lack of a dev post diminishing your performance at work and disturbing your home environment?
If so, you should see a therapist. If not, then relax. What good is a dev post going to do anyways? It doesn’t fix the problem. It’s either just providing attention to sate your ego or give you something tangible that you can just start arguments on. If they posted on every new bug and balance related thread that came up or was resurrected on a regular basis, this game would still be in beta.
The minute or two taken to respond to this thread is a minute or two less that a developer could work on the game. So if you keep making these threads, you are in fact going to waste their time, and if you waste their time then you are less likely to get the fixes or changes you actually wanted in the first place.
So in short, the ceasing of such threads is a win for everyone.
ya, and stop promoting bad work habits by asking the devs to troll the forums during working hours.
they all can’t pimp around like Evan in his bentley full of asura chicks.
for reals.

You kittens don’t even know what the prefix “meta” means.
Wow.
I suggest that the developers be more open with their community, and suddenly it’s being insinuated that I’m asking for a yacht when I just received a pony.
I can tell when I’m not welcome. I got the response from ANet that answered my question successfully, I’ll be on my way. Enjoy your pointless anger—I’m sure it’ll serve you well.
Immersturm you expressed a concern in a polite manner and you thanked the dev that answered.. it should have ended there and you are not in the wrong for expressing your concern. That’s why the dev answered you.
The people that are wrong are people like Shanks R us that jump on a threat that they see a Dev respond to and say something that has NOTHING to do with the thread because they THINK that the devs are going to read this thread more then others. Its just annoying and pathetic.
Or Ederyn who decides to point out when he feels the devs are doing wrong… I would love to see him slapped in the head with a ban hammer
Thanks again Jon for your response and stating that these forums are read. :-)
