Yes daily laurells start to stack in. I have +50 total now and soon enough for all ascended. So now i should decide which way to go.

My playstyle : Rifle engineer relying on pretty high damage pretty high crit with soldiers stats in armor (power toughness vitality) trinkets are berserkers all around so in total i have 20k hp 1241 toughness 40% crit , 3124 attack. I have toolkit now ofcourse for SD and the super buff for prypar. For prypars sake i would like to have a look into my toughness.

Ascedended:

Choise of rings:

Vine of the pale tree: 103 power, 50 prec, 8% crit and 18 vitality
Ring of the dead: 103 power 68 prec 8% crit
Solaria circle of the sun: all stat 43, +6% crit +4% magic find
Ruriks royal singet: 68 power 103 tough (!) , 8% crit

Choises of amulets

backpack:
Quiver of Swift Flight : 56 power prec 35 crit 5%
sights be true : 35 power 56 tougness 5% crit

“earrings”:
Ancient mursaat token: +38 all +5 crit +4%magic find
Ancient karka shell infused Execuisitive ruby jewel : +50 power + 40 prec +25 other stats +6 crit %
totem of gorilla: 60 power, 60 prec, 90 toughness NO CRIT %

Appleseller’s lucky cog: 60 power 91 toughness 7% crit

Durmands pen: 91 power 60 tough 60 vita

Choises are so many. I think i rule out those all stat givers.. My build deals condi damage but so little vs more power do to rifle 1 + sd.

Amulets :

Ive been really looking for Eye of janithr. +54 all +9%crit. if most go more into power tougness then janirhs +54 prec would keep prec up. In my traitlines i go 30 firearms so i get alot prec there.

Berserker stats will always be the best for damage. Only time I would consider non Berserker stats is if I can achieve 100% crit chance. Even then I would do it with mostly Berserker gear.

As far as defensive stats you want to aim for 10:1 ratio aka 10 hp to 1 armor. Which means Engineer need vitality the most. Base stats: 1980 armor 15,082 hp. This doesnt account for healing skills. The more often you heal the better toughness gets.

If you’re thinking of buying rings with laurels, it sounds like your don’t FotM much. I’d advise spending your laurels on non-ring things, just in case you ever get interested in FotM. Generally, doing FotM will make your bank look like a display case at Jared’s.

Until currency gets a change, you’re best off buying the amulets or earrings with your laurels.

I got Eye of janithr as amulet. I think it will stay with me for long even if change into condi dmg pistol engi. Personally I think im at lv l4 at fractals I do mostly WvW. Seems that I will need few items from fractals +10 to make backpack. Fractals runs aint that big problem because my guild does them alot. Ascended items has really big difference in my opinion when u get right set for ur build that u use.
