Should I just go with Supply Drop, or is the Attack Golem or Defense Golem good? I actually would prefer to use a golem, because I think it would be cool. But if Suppy Drop is just plain better, I’m not going to kitten myself.

Offensive Golem deals surprisingly great damage. Use it, love it. But otherwise, use supply crate when a fight is not mobile.

The golem suit is slow, has weak damage and if it dies, which happens fast… you die!
It’s fun for roleplay or a giggle in LA, wouldn’t risk using it outside of that at all.

The defensive golem dies fast, too fast for being called ‘defensive’.

The offensive attacking golem dies fast too… but at least he does acceptable damage.
He’s the only one I consider decent of the three.

Since you ask the question, I assume you are leveling.
So for leveling that golem is good fun, just watch this little aggro machine. Only pop it when you can afford pulling everything in sight

I wouldn’t take it to WvW to be honest. it will die very fast to any aoe.
In a small fight it can be a surprising little boost of damage though.

In spvp I don’t think anything can beat the utility of the supply crate, since it’s all about fighting on a point.

I was personally disappointed by the golems. In PVE, I use Elite Elemental on my Human Elementalist, and the earth elemental is an incredible tank. I expected the same of the Asura’s defensive golem, but it just doesn’t cut it. Supply crate seems more useful, between the snare, the med kits, the burn damage, and the initial interrupt.
In WVW or PVP, your opponents may blow up golems and turrets, but they can’t destroy those handy med kits.
