My little guy is nearing maturity (lvl 80) and is anxious to join the WvW fray in earnest.
So I have been studying Wolfineer build suggestions for a while.
It seems necessary to carry multiple armor sets to meet various activities -> Condition vs. Power. Roamer vs Zergling.
So, fellow geniuses, what armor sets are “best” to carry?
I am leaning toward two sets (Dire and Celestial).
Then I will use trinkets, weapons, traits and utils. to accomplish various builds?
Sound okay? Is there a better pair?
Note: I am not including Berserker, Assassin or Knight on purpose.
Edit: I have a Celestial set languishing in the vault and insignias for most other sets. So materials/cost is not an issue.

Celestial not easy to get, at least armor, so for start I would recommend u knight armor. In power/cele builds u can do both roaming and zerg, while in condi there is no use in zerg – 2 much cleaning
Then use Valkyrie and/or Cavalier
For zergs, Cele is not optimal (as most of your conditions will be cleared in seconds), same with Dire, so.. get a power-focused one :P
Personally I’m using zerker for roaming and a mixed for zergs, but if you really wanna go condi, dire-rabid mix should do it. (You’ll have enough HP with Guard Stacks, so the precision from Rabid can boost your dmg if you’re using anything crit-related [sigils, traits, food, whatever].)
Yea, maybe Valkyrie for the power-based set (for a zerging set and for power-based roamer).
The condition set would only be used for roaming, but looking for the something flexible so I can try different builds.

Valkyrie/knight is good for power zerging… lots of HP to absorb all the retalliation.
Knight/Zerker for high dps roaming, best with static discharge.
full celestial good for roaming, I have all exotic armour/ ascended trinkets and rifle… took over a month to craft :/
The most versatile is probably knights armour because you can mix and match trinkets to suit certain builds eg. Knight/cavalier, Knight/valkyrie, Knight/Zerker are all perfectly viable…
I know this looks very power biased but engi’s benefit from condi-duration alot. poison, chill, criple, vul, imob are all great and deal no damage(or kitten damage in the case of poison)… combi with power/condi duration foods and you’re laughing.
Guys, what better for roaming – cele rifle or classic rabid/dire p/s?

I literally use my celestial stats for everything. I use strength runes and then build round the flexibilty of the engineer.

dont use cavalier, it got nerfed too hard with ferocity and is no longer viable on engi
use knight anywhere you would use cav and you will be better off

Nice channel Zipp. I have been running a very, very similar build to your front line bomb build for well over a year now. One thing, and maybe I missed it, do you have footage of you with it in action?
Unfortunately I don’t have much footage of me running it front line. I have plenty of Roamer stuff.
Due to the fact I am Asuran. so unless you wanna see a lot of Hairy Norn and Charr A** you wouldn’t catch alot haha.
I have recently Leveled a Human thats a little bigger so I will be getting better future footage.
