I really want to hear the reasoning behind the nerf. The ICD on it is now more than 4x the CD of our longest heal skill (AED). It is also the longest ICD of any trait in the game. The only other two are Jade Echo on the revenant, and Fear of Death on the Necromancer. The adept level isn’t that great unless you run with a shield, or are crazy enough to use the medkit (which still isn’t made any more viable).

Edit: It’s 3x that of AED. I usually play with gadgeteer, which skewed my numbers a bit.

While I think the 90s→120s nerf is pointless… Its pretty much a one-use-per-fight skill followed by a cooldown so long you loose count anyway.

I think the idea is completely remove the possibility that it can be used more than once per fight.

I do not disagree with the thought, I jus think the implementation is much too makeshift.

Lol, I remember when the trait was fixed because the cd was accidentally too low, and then 90s made it crappy, because that was too long of a cooldown. And now it’s even longer.

Good point it beggars belief. Was it even being abused? I used it in WvW but engi are hardly op there. This is why anet should provide a reason for every change.

When specializations were revamped, AMR went from being a minor adept to an adept trait. For some reason, it went from 90s cooldown to 10s, and people were using it with AED and were supposedly unkillable. Then they said that was unintended and make it the original 90s and nobody talked about it since then and it was mostly a trait taken because a lack of other options. And then we’re here now.

I forgot it is actually used in the meta marauder build so it is inline with their intention to reduce engi sustain.

it was already a once-per-fight thing, 90 vs 120 doesnt change that… nor does that cd increase address the extra invisible hps from hidden flask/B swiftness + rapid regen + the 250 healing power scaling while under regen from healing turret + eg 5 = high uptime of ~500 hps. with super speeds 5 sec 500 hps bursts. and hammer 3 leaps in water. and healing turret.

i mean yeah, amr is really good, but… its sustain is practically negligible. its a passive answer to being bursted, not the sustain thats getting so many complaints. we have a healing signet through traits, without spending a utility slot on it. thats the problem.

collateral damage :/

Its not much but maybe its enough to make the meta shift from inventions with elixir b to tools with the toolkit.
