I decided to make a WvW video after levelling my engineer to 80 a few weeks ago, and i have to say it’s the the best time i’ve had playing guild wars.
I’m running a HGH build with toolkit, it’s Maskaganda’s (I roamed with him and just had to make an engi :>) build so you already know it i’m sure but – http://tinyurl.com/bou4hqf
It’s great because you always have boon’s on your self and you can stack huge amounts of might. Most of the damage is Burning, Confusion, and Retaliation (with some bleeding and poison) which really melts the enemies health bar down.

some nice fights in there, looked like fun.
a few things: my build link has a mistake, it should be hair trigger, not rifled barrels in firearms, I was too lazy to fix it after someone told me.
why aren’t you using timers on skill cooldowns? it helps alot :<
also, try to stop clicking skills! it really bugs me :p I’m sure you’d do even better.
I’ve been using rifled barrels all along, oh dear :P.
On the note of skill timer’s i have no idea how they turned off, i should probably turn them back on, it’s been like it so long ive kind of got used to it.
And clicking my utilities.. Horrible habit i know, got used to it and now im pretty fast, but keys will always be faster. I used to click some of my skills in WoW too and got a pretty high rating while doing it, so it’s just a bad habit really.
If clicking skills works for you, all the power too you.
It is especially demoralizing for your opponents if they know they are being beaten by a clicker, so it can be an advantage in a way (although I don’t know how you’d get people to know that in WvW aside from whispering them directly.).
Are those enemies puppies or real players? Because they move like AI in 1980. Sorry mate, for me you play much too slow and engineer is not the choice for slow APM. Anyway congratulations on your “kills”.

Really? Because I think his video illustrates that HGH is so braindead easy that in fact you CAN click the skills and do well.
And let me add, I don’t mean it as any disrespect towards you Aiden, you admit you reached 80 a week ago. This is merely my reflection on HGH and another discussion I had on the forum about HGH.

Meh, don’t worry the comments are going downhill anyway, will probably just turn into another argument thread :/
And on the note of the clicking comments, i know a lot of great players who click throughout many games where there is also the option to use keys, and it’s not like im clicking every spell either, i had the option to hide the cursor in fraps (which looking back i probably should have done from the start). I’ve had quite abit of success throughout games clicking, i don’t think was what made this montage bad, it’s just inexperience i guess.

This was just made as abit of fun after recording a night of WvW. The feedback is appreciated, but you don’t need to tell me to essentially stop playing the profession, and give sarcastic comments.
Just keep practicing with your engineer, ignore the negative comments, heed the constructive feedback. You won’t realize your full potential until you stop clicking. It’s one of those things that you’ll change and after a week of play you’ll wish you could kick your own kitten for not trying this sooner.
