So a new Status called Barrier is being added into the game and Core Professions will have some of their skills and traits adjust to provide Barrier.

How do you think this may affect Engineer and how can Engineer benefit from this if the right skills are provided with Barrier?

It would make sense to add “Gain some barrier on using shield skill” into the shield trait. Or to Gadgeteer “Gain some barrier upon using gadget”. There is a lot of useless skills and traits on engineer that could benefit from the new mechanics (barrier and amunition).

Ofc there’s also a barrier trait on Holosmith – middle master trait.

Got a feeling inventions and scrapper will be getting barrier perhaps on some of them drones

This sounds suspiciously like a buff. Like someone would need to give a degree of actual concern about the class. A buff to Engineer, with Developer premeditation?

You all know how Anet feels about doing that.

As one of those niche users.. I’m not seeing it happen in my lifetime. I’m not hopeful. I mean, I’m praying that they do, but until we see patch notes, I’m certainly not going to bet my firstborn child on it.
