Title says it all, pretty much.

Before I invest deeply into either, I’d like to know which one works better. I’m fairly new to the class itself and can’t really say if the additional power of Zerker really is worth losing pure crit chance.

I mainly run dungeons, roam the open world and will, sooner or later, make my way into Fractals; just so you know what I’m up to. PvP and WvW can be ignored.

So, Zerker or Assassins? Maybe a mix?

or you can just go scholar and ignore that

I’m curious, since I’m new to the class: how to I keep 12 stacks might for the entire party? The strength runes are quite self-explanatory, but what skills/rotations would be needed to achieve that?

I would say it’s situational but, ranger runes are also a option so long as you have a mini pet. It’s what I used before switching to the strength runes. You do lose 175 power and 3% damage bonus but gain 175 precision and not having to worry about being above 90% health to get the bonus. So it’s a good alternative to look into, especially if you don’t have someone who can provide things like fury and spotter.

I read in another thread that the mini-pet thing had been patched. Can we get confirmation on this, one way or the other?

Mainly depends on it. In my opinion you can choose between 2 kits in PvE: Bomb and grenade.
Bombs hit only once but high. taking assasins here is smarter because you cant every hit to be crit. If it is not crit you actually lose alot of dps.
With grenades I go for zerker. throwing 3 nades gives you around 2 crits and 1 normal hit, giving very sustain dps.

I will check into it, it very well could have been patched recently and I not have caught that since I don’t use them anymore.

Just tested in HotM, ranger runes do still provide the +damage with a mini active.
