Best second trait to choose?

Basically I am currently Firearms and use rifle / flamethrower BUT dunno what second trait best accompanies Firearms
There is no single trait that accompanies another trait better, it’s more how they work together. For instance, if you wanted to stick with rifle and flamethrower, you could start into the Alchemy line, because there’s a trait there that raises Flamethrower damage by 15%, couple that with the firearms line you are already in, which has traits that let you increase burn duration, decrease the cooldowns on your Flamethrower moves, and give you added boons while using a Flamethrower.
Based soley on the info you gave, I would suggest coupling Firearms with Alchemy, and Alchemy is a good line for a lot of our best defensive moves anyway, so it’s a good gamble, even if you’re not sure what you want to do yet.
