Pvp-hard to put. Meaby if you bunker conquest. After bomb heal not avaible i not using this kit in pvp

Didn’t play bombs for half of year, but it seems it can replace nades in viper(or carrion) hgh build. Pros : more on point pressure, cons : you have to stay melee while having not much def and you ll have hard time hitting players on the move
Abus you need to tell as for what gamemode you want to use it PvE, sPvP or WVW

For PVP, you can run barbarian amulet bomb, EG and the might elixir. You trait alchemy firearms and explosives (for short fuse).
I have not been albe to figure out a decent way to justify bombs if you have to take scrapper line, because you will take alchemy, leaving you the choice of firearms vs. explosives. But both those two are very helpful to bombs (wiht firearms you can pick the close range options and burning enhance.

also explosives line is not that mandatory for bomb kit (short fuse not that critical as grenadier)
yes but without explosive you lost a lot of damage for the minor explosive traits …. at least if you play condi .
For power you can take explosive ( firearms is not so strong with a power build ) so you don’t have problem. I see 2 ways in general for core builds ( not scrapper ) :
Condition : incendiary powder, pistols pistols with one or more kits between elixir gun and flamethrower and toolkit
Power : rifle based with explosive so you can take grenades, bombs , elixir gun and toolkit.
The only real “always” available kits are elixir gun and toolkit becouse they don’t depend so much on a single trait line . Flamethrower is good , ok but imho it works better with condition builds and in any case Flamethrower, for me , is not as good as elixir gun and toolkit so i’d not take it in a power build

probably better for hybrid tbh.
bomb kit has great condi, but scales really well with power too.
so its kind of a waste not to have both. FT is the better kit for pure condi on endi, but that’s just because of the burning burst.
so basically bomb kit is good for any build, but best for hybrid.

Bombs are actually pretty effective for condi builds in pve. They can be used in concert with p/p, or hammer condi set ups nicely.
They don’t quite do it in pvp, for me at least. Pvp gets too frantic and fast paced. The moment delay after setting bombs is plenty of time for experienced pvp players to dodge or block. Yes you can cover a node in bombs, but to me, a bomb engi seems like a kiting bunker’s wet dream. This is my opinion in regard to conquest pvp.
Stronghold is another animal altogether. With the tight, back and forth tracking needed to both defend, and to attack enemy offensive npc’s, bombs could work great. The real issue is when it gets congested at bottlenecks or turns, hard cc combined with the multitude of aoe builds running around could bring forth the same issue of effect-delays. Marauder amulet, rune of durability, sigil of air, sigil of blood/energy/force. Hammer, HT, bomb kit, bulwark gyro, blast/cleanse gyro, sneak gyro. Firearms 1, 1, 1, inventions 2, 1, 2, scrapper 3, 2, 2. Designed for escorting breakers. Blast gyro has ‘OK’ damage, if it tracks, and hits, and doesn’t get detroyed while it traverses blades of grass. More importantly, the toolbelt procs aoe super speed. You can substitute cleanse gyro if ream has multiple necro, but you do sacrifice that op toolbelt which is awesome for getting your breakers across the map. Bulwark gyro does its thing keeping you and your npc’s alive under fire. Reflect missues with toolbelt. The secondary use of running gyro is for the lightning fields created when you overload as a result of final salvo. On enemies: damage + daze. The daze also applies 5 stacks of vulnerability, so when you follow up with rocket charge, you ideally wind up applying 20 stacks of vulnerability. Bursts may ensue. On allies, specifically breakers: the fields are a source of super speed which again, is invaluable when moving your breakers between doors. Especially when you haste, then stealth. I feel it would be highly effective.
WvW, same problem as spvp. Maybe against npc’s, just won’t hit often enough or fast enough against enemy players.

And remember, that you cant run pure condi nowadays(till 26 jan). You have to have power too
And have to be +1 every time, cause u have nearly no place for skills to sustain focus on you
