Whoever designed this should be ashamed of themselves as a developer/artist. It looks horrible, clips with everything, and is sooooooo lazy.

welcome to guild wars, where end game are visuals…cept you are an engi (or any other medium class) then go and screw yourself.

The devs said in the livestream back then that they are placeholders… but i doubt they are.

Don’t worry. They know about these issues and the others that currently effect our game play. The good news is that the last time this was an issue, it only took 3 years to correct! Soooo by our calculations, you can expect an ETA for fix at the beta release of the expansion to HoT.

The size of your bundle is dependant on the character, on my asura, the bombs are smaller in my hand.

The devs said in the livestream back then that they are placeholders… but i doubt they are.

They only said this about Mortar, and that did change (the placeholder was a flamethrower).

You’re right, it’s ugly and dumb. Hell, it’s enough to make me almost miss those ugly kitten hobo sacks. Buuut I’m more annoyed with all the bugs on our skills than I am about aesthetics at this point, so meh. Least of our worries.

To be entirely fair, it was hilarious the first time I pulled out a bomb kit on my asuran, as I thought they had scaled the bomb kit to match character size, or at least character race.

Then I saw a charr nearby with a bomb larger than my entire asura, and realized the idiocy of what they did.

There is a bright side the eng animations. You could be like necros, who get two colours, black and green, with the occasional dull, dark blue in there.

To be fair, I mean the whole engineer design was lazy from the beginning, so why buck the trend?
Elites: copy pasta from other classes or turrets from other skills (ooooo!)
Kits: Modified bundles (the ultimate insult was when the flame thrower bundle on Claw of Jormag did more damage than the engineer kit version).
Half of the rifle kits in the game are the engi rifle…
Even orbital strike is just a scaled down rehash of the animation from Sky Hammer (I’m surprised nobody noticed the inside joke yet…)
I do give them props for trying however.. but I’ve come to expect it.. although I have high hopes for the engineer in HoT.. but if it turns out to be a bunny thumper clone I’ll probably turf the game for a while…
