Well lemme tell ya I surely do love play unorthodox builds.
After the recent patch my variation of SD build was severely nerfed, so I was forced to meditate on something new. In the meantime I tried rolling different kinds of condition builds, mainly conditionades, with no real success. Then the Throw Mine skill caught my eye and I thought: “kitten, this is one mighty fine skill! If I don’t have a realiable source of stability, neither should anyone! How do I build around it?”

That’s how. It is by all means a work in progress (runes and sigil are my main concern), but is surely fun, annoying and, if I might add, (not really)surprisingly useful in Bounty Missions!

Thoughts, critique, suggestions?

First of: applause for trying something totally different for a change.

The build isn’t all together yet, but it could be fun (gimmicky but fun).

If you focus on the mine, you should at least have 20% shorter cooldown on gadgets.
14.5 sec cd on mine is awesome!

Lots of dodges, great cc, and Tool kit hits hard on power.
Seems decent in survivability.

I’m pretty curious how this works out.
Can’t put my finger on it but I have a feeling it’s not a well rounded build yet.

Either way: fun is THE factor in a game, so good going on that one

On a power build → if you use the forceful explosive and static discharge trait

Net shot + Go on them + use mine field and instant detonate it.

If you get a good crit ratio, you should hit for between 7 and 10k damage with the static discharge.

Each mine from mine field can hit for 2k damage.

The only bad thing is points in tool trait line doesn’t seem to affect the toolbelt cooldown of mine field.

Throw mine is also pretty awesome because it can’t be block.

it didn’t and hopefully they don’t, damage multiplier on mines is kinda off. once they “fix” recharge, they will also fix damage making it useless, and on the same patch they will prob take a stab at static discharge too! 2-5s internal cool down ? why not!

That’s a pretty cool build. I love mines! Just the whole aesthetic of them just makes me grin!

Not to hijack the thread, but I wonder what if you made a build that centered around gadgets and static discharge, like this:

What I don’t know is where best to put the last 10 points? More defensive like Protective Shield in Inventions -or- more offensive like Incendiary Powder in Explosives (plus you get Reserve Mines)?

I believe there is a sigil that has a 60 % chance of removing a bon on critical hit (sigil of nultification or something?). And I caught a bad link there.

But only the idea sounds really cool!

Yes, I am actually using this one at the moment. Nothing better than Overcharged Shot removing fresh Rampage-as-One stability from a ranger.
