Cadecus fight - Can't finish it my engineer.
I found it very simple on my rabid p/p scrapper (WvW standard alchemy/firearms/traveler build, except I use ft and might+stab+quickness rather than burn on crit and fs). Two things:
- Bind your special ability (the anti-whateverthekittenitis-PvE-attack) to a key cause using the mouse to click it is too slow, you need to pop it the second it shows up.
- Run in circles, literally. As you circle, pick fragments up on the fly and toss them at him. Dont stop running until the short dps phase, then you just repeat the circling.
Protip – look down all the time because kitten that room.
(I assume this is the second fight, the first is pretty simple as well, as you only need to avoid that row of red rings and pop the ability)

As Dawdler said.
Any build should be fine as long as:
– Use your special skill to avoid his attacks;
– Break his breakbar with bloodstone fragments around the room; and
– Burst when he is stunned, get out of the way when he is not.
Sorry OP but what do you want to hear? If your build doesn’t work with the boss then you need to change it. If I could do it on the old difficulty with 2 deaths on glass viper engi, so can you on this nerfed difficulty. Just don’t stop and move out of aoes all the time + prioritize the mobs and the fight will be easy.

I know such pansy questions are beyond the league of pro gamers, but c’mon your first question was clearly mentioned in the OP statement and doesn’t require a college or university degree to locate.
Here, I even copy+paste it for you “Is there an engineer build that I can use to complete this Cadecus fight.” The short description of his current build is there for reference and not to indicate he doesn’t want to adapt it.
