Out of combat: Use magnet on another player. Other player is slightly interrupted, but not pulled to your location.

In combat: works as intended.

IF im right , that bug was there already ,before and triggers , if the ground isnt smooth enough and it seems like the enemy is hitting a “invisible” wall or so , if you mean that bug

Oh this bug’s been there for a loooong while. It only was kind of fixed. People stopped caring on the long run.

yeah all pulls have this problem. and engis and necros always had the discussion arguing whos pull is bugging out more: magnet pull or spectral grasp. it will probably never get fixed because its a flaw in the engine itself that cant be patched easily

for what its worth, i know a situation where magnet fails 0% of the time… when i successfully pull someone off of a wall (or cliff) in wvw. there are 0 times in my memory that pulling someone off of a wall has ever resulted in them stumbling and stopping. in combat or ooc.

i have had magnet fail many many times on flat ground, rough ground, slightly uneven ground where i am either above or below my target, against both npcs and players… but it has never failed to pull off of a wall in wvw.

yes im watching choxie a lot on twitch and his wvw necro roaming and spectral grasp doesnt seem to fail when pulling people off of cliffs too. good to know

I mean, it was always a little bugged. That happened occasionally, but it seems to be 100% broken now. Like, on skyhammer if I try and pull someone into kitten and they’re not in combat, it will fail every single time.

I noticed it in wvw too. When chasing down an enemy, the first thing I would do is lead with a magnet, but it fails every. single. time. I have to shoot them once to get them in combat then pull and it works.

Can anyone confirm this magnet bug?

Confirming, but AFAIK it happens in combat as well.

A week ago I tried to pull a ranger off of the wall at sunnyhill tower. while normally ( at that certain position) they fly over my head and off of the mountain to their death, this one only barely seemed to stumble and fall of of the wall (surviving). I assumed my pull bugged that time.
