Can we get a Grenade Blast Finisher?

ok not op, but our strongest kit. toolkit is pretty close though.
Does anyone know if there’s a balance reason that none of the grenade explosions count as a…well…blast?
That’s likely the entire reason.
Grenades have superior range and some of the best potential damage output that and engineer can produce, both in direct damage and condition damage. It’s also our most accessible source of chill.
To give it a blast finisher would give it something it doesn’t really need to be good/useful. You can consider it’s lack of a finisher to be one of the drawbacks compared to something like the bomb kit or elixir gun, thus balancing out the grenade kit to a degree.
Yes, it’s the same reason why Mine Kit became Throw Mine. And the same reason why the Mine Field mines lost their capacity as Blast Finishers. A single skill giving that many Blast Fields is pretty overpowered.
Imagine, if you will, using Short Fuse and Grenadier at the same time.
The longest cooldown on Grenade Kit is the Poison Grenade (25s, 20 if traited)
You would have a single skill dropping three blast finishers every 20s.
That’s (9 stacks of might, 9s of AOE Stealth/Retal/Weakness, 3960 base AOE healing) depending on field. Deployed at 1400 range. And that’s IN ADDITION TO the three poison fields. From one skill.
Can you imagine Grenade Barrage having blast finishers? Sure, it’s a 30s cooldown, but Grenadier makes it toss 8 grenades. 8 Blast Finishers.
Can you imagine a world where a single player could provide an immediate12-24 stacks of might or a 10560 AOE Heal in the middle of a fight with a single non-elite skill and a Combo Field that the Engineer herself could easily drop?

Purity of Purpose
Blast finisher on posion grenades would just give u area weakness. Remember new fields overwrite old ones. Doesn’t matter what you are planing with this posion grenades – there will allways be a posion field overwriting everything.
So Anet could also just add weakness to the posion effect with same result . Lol.
Really? In my experiences, the ones put down first seem to be the Field that gets used. …Hmm, might have been a range issue or something. Oh well.
It also depends on whether the blast triggers before the poison field drops or not.
Purity of Purpose
if my ele can’t fly forward consumed in the fires of hell burning all who stand in our way and then explode in a blaze of glory and not count as a blast finisher then your little exploding metals balls aren’t.
Grenades are not getting buffs, or any improvement at all…
I think that much is clear from the latest SotG.
I would first add blast-whirl-projectile finishers to other kits by the way, and to more gadgets and even turrets… before I would think of adding them to grenades.
Grenades don’t need any improvements. They’re our best kit by far. Now, adding a blast finisher to flamethrower….

Grenades are in a good spot. Most other kits really need to be brought up to its level, and adding fields + finishers would be a good start.
