I have been running a wander’s condi engi and I cant seem to really kill anything. With all the sustain and cleanses and stuff then I just seem to die. Is maruder/celestial engi really the way to go? I rushed getting HOPE so I could use it for my condi build but I cant seem to win lol

pure condi-builds are absolutely dead in the current meta…. Also; why not run the meta marauder scrapper or even cele scrapper? The build is amazing and fun to play and pretty versatile!

In my opinion rabid pure condi builds don’t work well. There are 2 big problems : low vitality pool ( so hard to handle conditions ) and there are professions like elementalist really hard to take down only using conditions. I suggest you to try to play condition cele engineer … it has a good mix of direct/condi damage and in my opinion works well.
Scrapper is stronger … but i find it really boring .

I switched back to Rabid & Balthazar from that build. But yeah to kill things you need to be able to use Incendiary Ammunition very effectively – patiently using it when you know they’re absolutely out of removal and don’t whiff charges when applying.

And heck, if you just use the same build and queue into Diamond Skin Tempests, Necros, etc, you kind of guarantee your build choice will suck. Condi builds are situational

Heck P/P condi engi even makes me laugh when I play Thief…

yes marauder scrapper is really op … but… it is also boring to play after a while … it is a really simple build to play … nothing compared to old 2 kit builds …

Depending on how much you are willing to change your setup you could run carrion condi. Use intel sigs to still gain benefits from incendiary powder because im pretty sure the cds line up. Then the rest is kinda up to your discretion as to what you want to equip and play with.

Edit: It’s back up so I put this together. Not sure how it would actually do in a match but theoretically it’s looking pretty awesome and you don’t need scrapper for it

Scavenging capitalizes on carrions added hp and provides some direct damage to take ds eles down below 90% hp. Plus the leech sustain is a nice added benefit to any condi build running high hp. Let me know if this is as helpful or if you have questions.

scrapper is pretty simple when you get rocket charge water combos down. I’ll post my two builds. they both have 2 20sec CD blocks so are pretty easy to play, rotate blocks and do damage. spam AOE child.

the problem of scrapper is that it is not fun to play … at least for me …

I managed to get Diamond (climbing to Legend atm) with this build, doing solo queue:
