Change that would make Scraper usefull in PvE
I’ll +1 both of these suggestions. Expert Examination suggestion I’ve seen before many times, but it’s a good one nonetheless. As for Gyros, I believe they don’t scale with player stats because they allowed them to have boons applied to them.
I’d assume if Gyros were altered to scale with the player’s stats, removing boon application would have to happen. No big loss if that happens since Gyros’ level of effectiveness doesn’t scale well with boons anyhow.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Why stop at those 2 gyros? I’d go as far as making all gyros scaleable with player stats. Or maybe at least with one stat, let’s say that Bulwark gyro would scale with toughness or vitality, Medic gyro with healing power, Shredder gyro with power etc. Same with turrets.
And BTW Scrapper could use a new functionality for Function gyro in pve because currently it’s useless but that’s for a whole new discussion.

Scrapper works with lightning’s field … but lightning’s combo are useless in PVE (swiftness, knowdown).
Change specialization and add something like :
In lightning’s field gain protection and/or +X % damage.

actually lightning fields were incredibly powerful until they removed a leap finisher from rocket charge and removed dazes from gyros
with just hammer
before the rocket charge nerf it allowed to slap 3 stacks of expert examination basically up to 18s weakness and 15 stacks of vulnerability
so basically anet killed half of the profession’s spec synergy by removing gyro dazes
