Coming Back to Game Build Rate
So im coming back to the game and decided on engineer to play. Played it early on at release and loved it. So I spent some time looking around builds and guides and i decided on this build will someone let me know how good it is.

Only saw two things that probably should be changed.
1.) Back pack regenerator is pointless, it heals for almost nothing. I’d recommend you invest those 10 points into Power Wrench.
2.) You will benefit more by having power and condition damage, since you have both the Grenade and Tool kit. I would recommend carrion or rampagers.
A link with the changes I would recommend:
Carrion: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqelIqiYnvSyF1LJyIFdmoBqQeJqQ+95BblWQIA-ToAgyCuI+S9l7LzXyisFNqYSA

Backpack regenerator heals for pretty much the same as regeneration and it stacks with regeneration so it’s definitely not useless but I will advice you to take Cleaning Formula 409 instead. Unless you think you can handle condis the way you are and in that case I’d say d-(-_-)-b.

it looks like you stole this exact build from koroshi xD – he has a post about 5 under yours in the engi forums. I played a little spvp with it last night and the only thing that really gets you is conditions. Also those kits work great with only condition damage. I don’t recommend carrion because I like toughness quite a bit more than vitality. Also you don’t go with power instead of precision because a lot of things in this build are on crit.
TL:DR; build is fun – condis own you
Back pack regenerator is pointless, it heals for almost nothing.
Incorrect. It heals for 125 per second, which is comparable to the Regeneration boon (which, at level 80, heals for 130 + (0.125 * HealPow) per second. The fact that both stack means you have a pretty decent heal-over-time setup, which is able to outheal up to six stacks of Bleeding, assuming for simplicity no Healing Power or Condition Damage modifiers.
Do not underestimate regeneration.
If you are allergic to these ingredients, do not consume.

I think what is being said here is that it is a piddly amount of healing to give up more powerful or useful traits.
And it is, I built a full compliment of auto healing traits, runes (dolyak), skills (heal turret for stacking), and a sigil for life stealing on crits (with the old omnomberry ghosts, additionally) and I wasn’t regenerating enough HP to outheal more than one mob in Orr.
The lifesteal was nice, and I kept that part of the build for Flamethrowing, but there are a half a dozen better ways to get heals and several much more useful traits that shouldn’t be sacrificed for such little return.
But the nice thing about Engineer is that everyone gets to play the way they want if they feel it works for them, even if everyone else disagrees.

Were you dodging and using your available CC abilities? Apart from veterans and champions, I definitively outheal any damage I get from a single Orrian mob – and I don’t even build my Engie around healing.
