Q:

Hey Guys, I been playing engineer since pretty much the beta, but i still have a few questions about what would be best to optimize my dps in PvE. I know Elixer spec is not that popular but i just love it, i tried grenade condition build but i don’t find it interesting at all.

This is the build i been using:

I’m using P/P combination. I tried P/S before, but for PvE it seems more of a situational combo and i know Elixer S is not an optimal skill but i been using it for a while and with it my survivability is just so much higher and really like rune of the traveler cause might stacks last around 30s+, so my questions are:

Would Rabid have a better output than Rampagers?
Is the rune of traveler the best option for this build?
What Sigils should i be using?

Opinions are also welcomed. Thank you!!!

What you might not find interesting is what I use in all pve encounters. I admit that I do not pve much these days but what I use is the basic HgH spec. You could switch to bomb/nades but in PvE I feel that you should keep your range. Having said that the best kit to keep range is grenades; bar none. Also the HgH spec grants you many “outs” – meaning that if you get into trouble you have access to invuln and stealth on demand.

The runes should be anything that increases +might duration.

Sigils are largely up to you. I would highly recommend a sigil of battle and a sigil of corruption.

As I post this I have doubts that this is the spec that you would want to run. However, I have run this spec in lvl 48 fractals with 0 AR. Agony will down/kill you if you are not observant (stage 4 is another matter) but you can essentially sit back and snipe with nades and contribute to your group.

If you want to run a condi spec then research any of of the various HgH builds and enjoy tossing grenades. These specs will reward your diligence and possibly negate any mistakes that you make.

Just my opinion.
