Condition build sigils
I would say the swap-Doom sigil, but alas, you’re an engineer.
I recommend the Earth sigil, for bleeds if you want condition damage.
With a solid crit chance, you’ll be permanently bleeding your target with multiple stacks.
If you want more CC conditions, Sigil of Ice is great.
When they make sigils work with kits, I plan to use the Sigil of Ice on one pistol, a Sigil of Chilling on the other, and Runes for Frozen Duration.
Flamethrower that chills + bonus 80% freezing duration build
= FUN FUN FUN in any game mode.

I like sigil of earth on my pistol and sigil of fire on my shield.
Unless you are a pure condi build sigil of bloodlust is always the way to go. Even then, it is worth considering.
I like sigil of earth on my pistol and sigil of fire on my shield.
They are both on-crit, they should mess each other`s CDs. Have you done any testing?
Remember any Sigil on cooldown prevents all other Sigils with a cooldown from working while it remains on cooldown.
Also remember on-swap Sigils work on every Kit Swap. So Sigil of Doom would work fine if you regularlly swap kits, whether you actually need the extra Poison though is rather debatable. Poison Volley, Fumigate, and Poison Grenades usually gives us way more then enough Poison uptime. I lack the Elixir Gun for example, and it’s not uncommon for me to see more then 40 seconds of Poison on a target. So I agree that Doom doesn’t work, but you should remember on-swap stuff does work. Although you probably shouldn’t mix on-swap and on-crit.
Basically, if you have the Precision for it you should use an on-crit Sigil. There is really only one on-crit Sigil to use for a condition build as well, the Sigil of Earth for extra bleeds. If you really don’t want an on-crit Sigil, then Geomancy and Battle are good choices for on-swap. Geomancy if you plan on swapping in melee range often, and Battle if you want extra anti-ranged power like I do.
The biggest choice you have to make is which Sigil you put on the side. +5% crit and +5% damage are backup choices if you don’t like it, but generally Sigil of Corruption for stacking condition damage on kills is the best. The other choices out there are just meager in comparison. As long as you don’t pick up one with a cooldown it’ll work though, but seriously it’s very easy to stack the stacking Sigils. I mean with it’s not uncommon for me to have over 2k condition damage with some might stacking to help it, and over +50% condition duration. I wouldn’t be able to get that high without Corruption.

Ayestes, maybe you know if Chilling sigil works atm? Wiki says some strange stuff that leads to believe superior sigil of chilling doesnt work, but I havent tested it.
I thought of maybe going Ice+Chilling, combined with my +70% cond duration it would be swell.
I’ve been experimenting with Sigil of Strength for the Might boost which ups the power and condition damage.
I use sigil of earth and sigil of force for the flat out +5% damage. Stacking is great but effectiveness is diminished if you are somewhere that going down is somewhat inevitable. Dungeons are the culprits of this usually. COF is an easier dungeon where I usually go in with a sigil of corruption or perception. If I am going to run Arah then I usually just run with sigil of earth and force because going down just happens. Sometimes dungeons will have parts where the environment will take you down with one misstep. When you have the resources consider having in your pack a weapon with force/accuracy, whatever stacking sigil you prefer, and whatever swap sigil you prefer. Even in hard dungeons there may be a segment where you can quick grab some stacks on trash mobs then swap out your stacking sigil weapon for tougher parts. But if I had to pick 2 sigils to have permanently it would be sigil of earth and force.

Ice has a 10 second cooldown, so I’m not really sure on that one myself. I’ve never tested Chilling, it’s possible it’s different in PvP. Some stuff works in PvP but not PvE and vice versa.
Honestly, if you want extra Chilling pick up Hydromancy and kit swap next to opponents.

As a glass-cannon condi p/s i`d rather not come anywhere close to any enemies That`s why i need chill tbh, to keep enemies as far as possible for as long as possible
Well anyway, I use Earth and Agony atm. I have 4 Nightmare runes (10%), 2 Lyssa runes (10%), 10 points in Explosives (10%), +40% condition duration from pizzas. Bleeds last 2 1/4 sec if tooltips to be believed. So with Agony sigil I have 2.25*1.8=4.05 sec bleeds – 4 ticks per bleed on AA (I rather believe in it than know it for sure, its kind of hard to test). Chance on-crit bleeds last 5.25*1.8= 9.45, 9 ticks.
If I`d decided against bleeds boosting, I`d probably go Battle (might on swap) and Corruption (condi damage on kill). Battle can stack 6 Mights all the time, and I even saw 9 stacks once. For WvW I`d probably go with Generosity on the off-hand.

You can test it by disabling auto-cast on Explosive Shot, and count the bleed ticks (combat log), preferably on a non-crit. But you should get 2*1.1*1.1*1.4*1.1 = 4 sec bleeds indeed. Tooltip durations are a little weird sometimes. Note that if you drop to 3.9 sec you will only get 3 bleed ticks.
On topic, I use Earth and Corruption. Would love to have Earth and Battle if the sigils didn’t share CD.
Earth and corruption here. 20 corruption is 1 extra point to corruption damage. At about 1200 corruption you are doing about 100 per bleed so killing 2 enemies is a 1% boost. If you’re running with less corruption the return is better and with more it’s less. At 10 enemies you are closing in (or have passed) the 5% given by force. If you can run longer then it’s a win. If you can’t kill 10 enemies in a row without falling… well it’s gonna be a LONG dungeon run. (Voice of experience on that one.
Also remember on-swap Sigils work on every Kit Swap. So Sigil of Doom would work fine if you regularlly swap kits, whether you actually need the extra Poison though is rather debatable.
I don’t think all of the weapon swap sigils do. Sigil of Doom I haven’t gotten to work. I read on the wiki Sigils of Doom, Intelligence, and Leeching don’t work with elementalist, and can only assume the same applies to engineer.
Yeah it’s always a good idea to test everything on the dummies. Tool tips can lie as well.

I’m using Earth and Corruption. If you can stay up, 250 condition damage is nothing to scoff at.
I’m considering picking up another Ruinmaker and swapping to a different sigil once Corruption is fully stacked. Maybe Force?
