I don’t claim to be a pro nor do I usually put my builds up on the forums, but since the patch I’ve been testing just like we all have and tried a build I have tried before but it just seems a lot more viable now. Perhaps its the reworking of the traits or maybe just the fact that everyone else is testing as well and that may be the cause for the sudden success of this build for me. Not sure if there is an up to date builder or not so ill just type it out. I’m currently running 10/10/30/20/0. I use pistol pistol. Slot skills are elixir gun bomb kit and flamethrower heal turret and supply drop. In explosives i take the bomb radius trait. In firearms I take fire forged trigger (Really like the fact that trait is tier 1 now). In inventions I take cloaking device extra supplies and elixir infused bombs. In alchemy I take acidic coating and backpack regenerator. I have only tried this in spvp solo que so not sure about its wvw viability. I’m using shaman amulet and nightmare runes. Haven’t decided on sigils yet. The bulild has 3 sources of blind, that combined with your three ground targeted heals, heal turret and heal bombs makes it pretty durable. You also have the aoe knock ago from FT 3 and the run speed from E-gun 2 for when blinds are down. Bombs eat melee alive. If you start to get ranged cycle through your ranged abilities but its important to keep weakness on them all the time. The new buff to weakness makes E-gun pretty kitten nice in my opinion. Anyways this just my 2 cents. Sorry for any typos I’m doing this on my phone at work. Tinker on Engineers!

This is what I’m running.

I was originally running healing bombs, but it’s unreliable for a condition damage build, and forces you to run from your target, or sit with bombs at your feet. The extra sustain is nice, but hinders your mobility, plus doesn’t do a whole lot of damage if you’re running a healing build, considering bombs scale off power. Bomb kit is nice for the utility but I wouldn’t make it a focus.

The knockback on flamethrower is nice, but I’d rather take Rocket boots for a low cooldown high duration burn gadget, and a strong source of mobility

Cloaking device or Stabilized armor is fine for either, each have their purpose.

I however am against Acidic armor. This trait is only effected by melee attacks. It might save you when you need it, but Protection injections is a bit more reliable in my opinion, coupled with Backpack regenerator.

In all honesty, with coated bullets being moved down, we’re left with an opening to focus on pistols for damage, with kits as support weapons. This allows us to have strong condition application, and healing.

I’m running full apothecary, with undead runes. Geomancy, and cond stacking sigils.

I don’t need anymore crit beyond my 17%

Ha im runnin something very similar to this except with settlers prefix instead and have ten more points in alchemy compared to your explosives. The build can take a lot of punishment from physical attacks but remained a litle vulnerable to conditions, which I figured automated response can help with.

Might have to try that. Explosives just gives me another source of burn that I’m rather enjoying, but I can probably live without it if I can land good rocket kicks, and Torch.
