The timing is purely coincidental I assure you.
For the most part I solo roamed in WvW. Mainly being a supply watch and merc ambassador for Anvil Rock — flip camps, protect camps, slap enemy yaks, take the frogs and ogres to strip bars, etc. Or run with a guildmate when they are on.
As of late, our guild duo has become more consistent and we’ve even added another guildmate into the mix.
Running with my ranger guildmate, whose a bit of a tanky build I’ve really seen the power of defense(vitality/toughness) combine with alot healing power. As he is ridiculously tough to kill while at the same time he puts out sustained damage with pockets of burst from pet management.
I want to try and get something similar but add some control to help us range targets down while kiting our butts off. So my rough draft of a build is this:
Do you think that would work? I’m thinking with regen from toolbelt Healing Turret and Elixir Gun while throwing down the turret or Elixir Gun 5 would be good for when I need some bursty healing. I dunno. I’ve thought about Pistol Shield, but I like control of the rifle.I’m not really expecting to blow anyone away with damage. The 3rd guy in our guild group is a thief… I figure he can bring the burst and I just keep some sustained damage and control and debuffs(from Elixir Gun). I’m still just doodling on the chalkboard here.
Think this would work? I got a feeling it would stink and I’d not be a resilient as I think it will be. I’ve got gear/trinkets listed that I either have or can afford or can aquire relatively easy at the moment. Sure, I’d love to be loaded in Apothcary, but not gonna happen anytime soon.
