Recently ive been testing out this build while solo roaming and its worked out very well. So im going to share it with you guys. Without further ado here’s the link

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fdAQJAqalUUpkr1XxELseNCbBNqxA6NUh3+5DEgkC-T1hIAB6o8DgTAAgq/0z+DjpHg3HAQSKBDAgAMzyMAG6QH6QH6QboDdoDdoDtUAQsMC-w

This build is fairly glassy, with absolutely 0 points in inventions or alchemy. However the sheer amount of pressure, both power and condition dmg is absolutely insane. Some stats on this build: with perma 6stacks of might from sigil of battle.

- 2.1k power
-2460 toughness
- 1200 condi dmg
-54% crit chance
- 182% crit dmg
- 15k health
- 85% condi duration

You also have access to EVERY SINGLE CONDITION IN THE GAME!!! You can also apply all these conditions within the first few seconds of a fight. Since im taking modified ammunition in firearms this adds up to a 24% dmg multiplier. In addition im using grenades with explosive powder and sitting duck which is essentially a perma 25vuln. So we now have a near permanent 49% dmg multiplier. On top of that 25 in fire arms gives us another 5% dmg modifier to bleeding foes. This is always on. In total you have a near full uptime on 54% dmg modifiers. This brings your power dmg up to almost that of a full zerk build while also providing some very strong AoE condi pressure, almost that of a full condi build.

The nightmare runes are a perfect addition to this build. The 15% condi duration is awesome, as is the fear, and thus another condi for modified ammo. However with our condi duration the fear also lasts for 4 seconds, which is a massive amount of time to get skills off. Generally once the fear goes off, that opponent is screwed and theres nothing they can do about it.

Elixir S is a mandatory stunbreaker, and the toolbelt skill is amazing for either getting the jump, or making a retreat. Nades are mandatory as well, due to the sheer amount of AoE power and conditions they can put out. Toolkit is very good, and is the more defensive version of the build. Bombs also synergize very well with this build, however they leave you very open to bursts and arent really defensive at all. Generally i only switch to bombs when taking camps, but the amount of AoE pressure provided with both bombs and nades really is a force to be reckoned with.

Again, this is a lot glassier than the typical build youll find here. The goal is to absolutely overload the opponent with conditions and power before they can even react, and when they do itll be too late as theyll have simply taken too much dmg, which can be reapplied almost instantly. If they do somehow survive the first initial overloads then you can use elixir S to reset a bit and get the fight in your favor. However just because this is glassy doesnt mean you can’t 1vX well. The sheer amount of AoE dmg means multiple enemies will often fall over at the same time, as the high conditions and power are simply too much to deal with.

Thanks for reading this far, and i hope you all enjoy the build. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to voice them below and ill try to get back as soon as possible.

i dunno man as a hybrid … ok i swapped the stats to celestial to have a look at what happens, you lose 10% crit rate and gain 5k hp, a bit of toughness, 500 healing and some ferocity… so i mean its not as glassy but id think the stat efficiency would be better for a hybrid build like this?

honestly im just not a big fan of mixing power gear and condi gear, i feel like precision is very weak as a main stat (its a secondary on all your gear while zerk and rabid have no other overlap, so its kinda the “main focus” of your set)…

you dont have any videos do you? i know i wish i was a bit more motivated to record some of my own gameplay.

Well if i could be motivated to work towards celestial then i probably would. I feel like precision is pretty important for nades, as its a lot of smaller hits instead of one big hit. You want all those smaller hits to crit or you lose a lot of dmg potential. However if i do ever get celestial ill try it out. And no, i dont have any videos as my laptop gets crazy laggy whenever i try. You wouldn’t even see fights, itd just be a blurry slideshow. Perhaps sometime in the future

I’ll add my comments, because I tried a very similar build and many combinations.

1) You will get stunned, and you will die. Sure you can pop elixir S, but then you’re boned for the next 60 seconds when you will be knocked down since you have 0 stability and no way of getting away from combat.

2) Your condi removal relies entirely on healing turret. It is not enough; you will be immobilised and destroyed.

3) If it’s a warrior or guard, you still wont win. They can cleanse so well then dps heavily while still having high armour and block rates.

What this will kill is the odd thief or mesmer, because you can condi them more. Most thieves will simply run/stealth away though and mesmers can likely redirect you with phantasms or burn you with condi themselves.

On the flip side, what you have is am excellent back-line ranged build that can heavily suppress front line zergs from 1500 range. You have range and need to use it, because one static/stun or one knockdown and you will be completely boned. You also need to stay back since then you can keep out of their conditions also.
On the plus side you will get loads of bags this way.

In a perfect build you would have elixir b for 4 second stability (even though that still sucks), elixir c for extreme condition removal, thumper turret for stun break, rocket boots or elixir gun to gtfo, and of course grenades or bombs to actually apply effective conditions.. but that’s 5 utilities, so either way in a solo roaming one-v-one build you will have high odds of meeting someone you have no chance against…. imo.

this is why i run what i do. i dont use a stunbreak or stability cuz -53% damage and -25% duration is “enough.” i dont need C cuz healing turret + generosity + rifle 4 + rocket boots + -61% duration is “enough.” and through all that ive only dictated 1 utility, so my other 2 can be damage and/or utility.

i feel like im in a rut sometimes though
