Deployable turrets still give old turrets
The QA procedure for engineer profession:
1. Enter Heart of Mists
2. Test it against one target dummy and one NPC: “hmm, seems to do some dmg”
3. Ready!!
Anet developers: please contact people who are really into playing an engineer and have played extensive amount of other professions as well.
You’d think their QA department would’ve caught that before going live…

YES! They finally nerfed this horribly broken talent that they only just made work! It was obviously too powerful with turrets that do slightly more damage!
The whole not having a public test server thing is really working well in this game…

I’ve tested both in mist and on dummies in LA, with and w/o the trait. I’ve even removed and put back the utilities between the trait switches. The numbers are same both in skill description and actual damage numbers.
So with the new build that came out, it appears that its now just the thumper turret has the old tooltip with deployable turrets. All the turrets now appear to function correctly with deployable turrets.

Flame Turret has double the CD, switching the trait makes it blatant.

Btw, I just tested it! The smoke screen (from overcharge) lasts for 30 sec (same as CD) and not 5 as in description. Idk if it’s been like that before or if it’s a bug. During this time it doesn’t do any damage, just keeps the field up for 30 sec until the CD is off. So basically you have a blind field for 30 sec. :S Again, idk if it’s been like that, since I only played with it like… once. Kinda sick though.

you tried that in mist golems right ? :P it’s a proximity bug! it will stop doing that if the target dies, or moves away or closer! there is that sweet spot that keeps it up forever lol

I did some testing on the turrets with deployable turrets and non deployable turrets.
Flame Turret: The damage is the same but the cooldown is longer 40 vs 25 seconds. I can’t tell if it is using the old or new radius. My guess is that it is the old turret based on the cooldown.
Thumper turret: The deployable one does not have the cripple effect, and the damage is lower. Deployable turret uses the old turret. Which really sucks because I was hoping my dream of throwing an awesome thumper in the middle of a crowd would finally come true.
The Net Turret: The net turret seems to be the same with both the deployable turret trait on and off.
Rocket Turret: No change between deployable and non deployable.
Rifle Turret: No change between deployable and non deployable. Both seem to be new turret.
I’m beginning to think they should either remove Deployable Turrets entirely or make it the default functionality, as they just can’t seem to get it working properly.
someone just told me that on the last built, they fixed this ( almost ), tool tip wont show changes but rifle turret and thump get their damage increase and cripple, But.. Flame turret is still bugged so if you use deployable turrets, you will still have the 40s CD
