Was just wondering what different types of HGH builds people run with? I created one on gw2skills that I was thinking of giving a try and seeing what others have done. Seems like each Kit can have its own variation of HGH build.

What does everyone else use for a HGH build?

Incendiary powder, Pistol CD reduction, Stabilized Armor, Shield CD, Fast acting Elixirs or Self regulation defenses, Cleaning Formula 409, and HGH

P/S, Full Rabid armor, mix of rabid and apothecary accessories.

The Grenade version is pretty much the same. Just swap TK for Grenades and move points from Inventions to Explosives.

My HGH FT build, I mainly use it for WvW, but it’s also usable in sPvP. It’s great for small skimishes, combined with Juggernaut you get loads of might stacks (~1800/2000 in both Power and Condition Damage). I’m not too sure about the rune choice though, but it seems to work out for me. The damage isn’t as massive as the grenade variants, but it’s a lot more survivable.

I don’t understand why you’d slot Apothecary anything without at least Healing Turret/Elixir Gun. Also a little confused on the Shield in an HGH build. I will usually bring along the Shield just about anytime I’m slotting anything with a combo field, but your build has none.

It’s interesting to see the different types of builds. Seems like they mostly go for a good amount of condition damage. The one I designed does not really have much condition damage, but seems to put out some high damage grenades. Is it a weakness that I do not take much condition damage?

Very interesting build.
Never noticed that but the “Stealth when immobilized” trait combines well with Rocket Boots .. Easy way to surprise/escape opponents.

As for the rune choice, it fits well with the build.
Superior Rune of the Forge could be a good choice too, nice big 12s protection when under 50% health.
I can see Superior Rune of the Earth and Inventions’ trait “Protective Shield” work well together, you get Protection here and there, always useful.

I run P/P condition build with HGH for added boom lol

I have a 50/50 mix of rabid and carrion armor (less crit but the extra power helps more imo)

I usually use this in WvW but it works well in dungeons as well (not random speed CoFs but i don’t run that stuff)
