Guild Wars 2

I’ve got a sigil that’s supposed to give me might when I switch to my shield, and freeze enemies when I switch to my pistol. It doesn’t seem like they do anything when I go from a kit to my weapons. Do those sigils only work for weapon swapping classes?

Weapon swap sigils work for every profession but the engineer. Even the elementalist gets those effects when swapping attunements. Although for elementalists the effect usually has a cooldown to use it once every 9 seconds.

Yup, sadly realized this myself yesterday. Was incredibly disappointed. Why in the hell wouldn’t it work by switching from a kit? Has to be a bug.

Of course, if it is even working for the elementalist then it is a bug. Because he is no different from engineer. Both have only 1 weapon set and he just switches through is attunements while we switch from a kit to the weapon and back to the kit.

Technically elementalist even stays in the same weapon, right? So if it is working for him then of course it should work for engineer too.

Engineer kits count as “Bundles” not “Weapons”. there is a rune set gives +5% damage while holding a bundle.

But when you “drop” your bundle you are technically switching back to your main weapon, so why would the sigil not work then (especially if it’s true that they work for Elementalists). Seems like either a bug or a huge oversight on the part of the devs.

I agree that this needs attention.
