Hi everyone I have some ideas how to extend our Rifle skills (and also pistol but not in this topic) possibilities due to lack of weapon swap and kits what occupy our utility slots. Btw sorry for my bad english:-)

I called my idea “Dual Functionality” (DF in short) and it based Anet early idea what wasnt implemented into final game – charging skills (skill functionality change depends on how long you hold button like for example range on Trebs)
Basicly longer you hold button better effect you get. Every skill will have “charge cap” what dont allow you increase charge above some point.

Also I have some ideas how to slightly modify current skills. So here it is:

Skill 1
- Rename into “Clever Shot”, change shoot animation from hip to shoulder aimed like Warrior
- DF: Holding button will cumulate up to 3 shots into one massive what you shoot by releasing button. 3s max charge – every second charging add 10% damage bonus so if basic damage hit for 1000 max charged will hit for 3300.

Skill 2
- Replace by “Supersonic Shot” – pretty much like mesmers pistol stun – high velocity stuning shot
- Projectile is piercing and can hit and stun up to 3 targets in row
- DF: Holding and release button (3s max charging) shoot projectile what stun first target, explode and stun others in 120-240 range from first target depend on charge strength

Skill 3
- Pretty much no change to basic attack
- DF: Charging decrease damage on longest range but increase on closest range up to 50% (3s max charging). Also apply 1-3s cripple depend on charge strength

Skill 4
- Remove self knockdown and also immobilize breaker
- DF: You shoot under your feet what provide AoE knockback in 120-240 range depend on charge strength

Skill 5
- Skill now remove immobilize and landing animation is much more smooth
- DF: You turn rifle and shoot backward. It will cause damage (180 degree behind you) blast finisher and push you 800 ft straight forward. 1s max charge
